Continuing this shows the high level executives that the General Manager is doing well and optimizing his ability to lead. It is also important for an organization to work as a team. The general manager must know how to execute and communicate the same common goal to different groups. This is very difficult because in order for the team to feel as equally passionate about the common goal, the manager must communicate the goal in a way that makes each employee feel they are doing their part individually to achieve the common goal.
A good role model is the one who can be respected, admired, expected in some ways by employees within organization. Role modeling is influenced the workplace in terms of communication, performance and organizational behavior. A good role model able to gain credibility and team cohesion, he also can expect the subordinates to work with you closely. To ensure myself acted as a positive role model for my subordinates and others in workplace, I will follow the below guidelines: Follow the Company Policy Company has a set of policies and procedures to all employees to follow. Do follow all the good codes set by company and do not be the one who ignore them and have own set of standards and telling the subordinates do not follow.
Supervisors must be able to make sound and accurate judgments that are the overall best decisions for the company (Supervisor Standards, 2007). These decisions are sometimes needed on the spot. The supervisor must show that they can handle making decisions and show they are able to make the right decision. Employees may not always understand why their supervisor made a certain decision, when this occurs animosity may spread throughout the team. This is why it is important for supervisors to explain their reasons for making a certain decisions.
It is important not to speak out of angry emotions, and again sometimes it is best to tell an employee that one may need to think on the matter first before responding. While it may not seem like a "big deal" it is important to make sure that the words that are used when speaking to employees are simple and clear. Some employees may not understand the use of large words, and therefore the message that the manager / supervisor is trying to convey may be lost. Good grammar is also a must for every type communication. Use of slang terms is not a wise idea, as what is acceptable in generation / culture could be offensive to the next.. We must make sure we are saying exactly what we mean to and clearly enough that so that others are going to hear exactly what the manager / supervisor is trying to say.
The next step should be for the supervisor to ask questions and try to develop a good rapport with the employee to see what is going on in their personal lives. By doing this managers show that they care about their employees and are willing to help them if possible. It also serves as a good way for management to lead by example. 1.2 Explain how effective communication affects all aspects of own work -Communication is very good in the setting it helps to understand individuals feelings, share skills and some important information, which leads to understanding each other. -It prevents misunderstanding and finger pointing to each other in the setting and it raises awareness. It helps to build up self-esteem and confident in workers because u will build trust with your colleagues and people who uses the services. 1.3 Explain why it is important to observe and individual’s reaction when communicating with them -It is very important to observe because most of communication is non - verbal, so if you do not pay attention you will miss out on a large part of communication because you have to watch people’s facial and bodily reaction, any gestures they use, how they are, are they upset 2. Leadership bears the responsibility of inspiring people and producing meaningful changes in the company. Leadership is therefore responsible for positioning people and organizations in the right positions. A good leader has the ability to articulate a vision and assign the right people the right tasks based on their talents. Leaders motivate their subordinates and in return obtain outstanding results from their employees.

Communication in the workplace is vital because effective motivation can’t take place without it. A manager needs to communicate with their staff on a regular basis, conduct weekly team meetings, discuss issues, and deal with grievances to remove communication hurdles. Effective communication allows employees to offer feedback and to provide creative ideas to help enhance and change business practices, policies, and procedures.
I think the humanistic-encouraging trait is important because like any other leader, people must trust you, set goals that are attainable, learn how to resolve issues in a constructive manner, and encourage your followers. I enjoy listening to people’s problems and helping them think positive and find the healthiest or best solution. I am normally the person my friends come to when they need to talk to someone. I believe as a manager a person must have a sense of how a person is and deal with each person individually if needed so each person as an understanding of what is the mission is. Controlling as a manager is something I believe I will have to work on.
