It’s not an option being homeless In the report “Homeless on campus ” by Eleanor J. Bader being homeless is not an option while attending school because throughout the years times have got in harder on everybody and with our economy the way it is just about everyone’s is struggling to make ends meet especially with students. In “Homeless on campus” describes the lives of college students who suffer from not having a home, being physical abuse of others; some were single parents, the loss of a job, being the main household paying for bills, school, books and, being ill. One faculty member helped two students for three months sheltering them. They stayed in the faculty member’s office for almost a semester. She offered students help by giving them the keys to the bathroom for them to get ready. Yet, the administration didn’t know anything about this. The students graduated and became social workers. The faculty member said “They knew that school would be their saving grace, that knowledge was the only thing that couldn’t be snatched.” In other way by them to finish school that would be the only thing they will have for them to save them from poverty and no one would take it away, because now they will have a degree they have earned on their own; have better jobs and be financially stable. These students are trying to overcome poverty by getting an education. Homelessness among college students is a big problem. Not a lot of people are aware of it. When in reality we should be concerned because these students are our future. One need more than a high school diploma to be independent and successful now more than ever a higher level of education is very important now-a-days to be financially stable with out struggling. There should be more help even if it’s a minority group in our society that we don’t put as much as attention as we should. We need to help this students finish their dream without
