Papers with many quotations sometimes leave the impression the writer did not fully appreciate the content in the identified sources. When quotations are used, typically they are used because the words from another are unique or apply in a special way to the issue or opinion the writer is presenting. Quotations in papers must include an APA citation, including a page or paragraph number where the quotation can be found within the cited reference work. Statements based on sources that have been paraphrased typically do not require inclusion of page or paragraph numbers in the provided in-text citations. To be clear, it is not acceptable to copy and paste sentences or a paragraph or more into a student paper, and then include an intext citation to the source at the end of the copied material.

Instead of being written in an essay format as Pyrczak (2008) suggests, the two paragraphs contain information regarding the statistical findings. Following the group of statistics, the results section yielded a great portion of a case study which is irrelevant to the results of the study. Additionally, Lin et al. (2004) never referred back to the research hypothesis, purpose, or original questions in the beginning of the article. Overall, the presentation of the results were poor.
Spelling checkers cannot identify spelling errors that result in another legitimate word (e.g., “form” typed for “from”) and are hard to use on documents that contain numerous words (e.g., foreign terms) not entered in the incorporated dictionary. Grammar checkers—which also generally check punctuation, sentence length, and other aspects of style—have been criticized for their reliance on oversimplified
There are seven obstacles that hinder goal achievement. First, an unclear goal can prevent someone from achieving results. If the subordinates don’t understand what is expected, they cannot attain satisfactory results (Martin, 2009). For example, a teacher who tells her students to complete an essay assignment, but doesn’t state that the assignments goal is paragraph structure; won’t receive many submissions with proper paragraph development. Second, unclear directions can also stunt a projects turnout (Northouse, 2012).
|Some details are not in a logical or expected order, and this distracts the reader. In each paragraph, the main idea is somewhat clear but there is a need for more supporting information. |Many details are not in a logical or expected order. There is little sense that the writing is organized. In each paragraph, the main idea is not clear.
However, I didn’t see comments regarding the continuum of care in the organization or resource options. I would like to have seen the use of headings to help in the readability and flow of the paper, which was mentioned in your week two paper. The introduction did not preview all the major points of the paper for the reader. Remember, the major points of the introduction should match the assignment. Also, the conclusion also did not review all the major points of the paper for the reader.
In this passage George Orwell makes the assertion that amongst the confusion of long literary or political critiques, the writing often becomes meaningless as a result of improper language and jargon. The use of such “meaningless” words allows them to be openly interpreted and often abused in political writing. What one might regard as Democracy, another would describe as Fascism, but neither carries a definition in this instance, but merely a positive or negative connotation. Consequently, these meaningless words often allow the reader to be deceived by the author. Orwell’s Six Rules 1) Do not use metaphors that you are use to reading in other texts.
Here he uses himself as an example to explain difficulties on communication, Malcolm X says that “I not only wasn’t articulate, I wasn’t even functional” (Chaffee, 2012 p. 18) it was not about inability to speak, but he was not coherent enough to be understood or to achieve what he wanted. To explain the differences between oral and written expression professionally, I could say that written communication is one of the two main types of communication, along with oral/spoken communication. In one hand, I believe that written communication is formal and courteous and according to Reference for Business site (2011) … One advantage is that written messages do not have to be delivered on the spur of the moment; instead, they can be edited and revised several times before they are sent so that the content can be shaped to maximum effect. Another advantage is that written communication provides a permanent record of the messages that have been sent and can be saved… For these reasons, written forms of communication are often considered more appropriate… (5th paragraph) with this I can support that it provide common benefits for sender and receiver in the communication process, to “improve efficiency” by avoiding interference or misunderstands. But it can also be impersonal, where people may not always read them and there is no immediate feedback.
