I think goal setting is one of the most important things in our life. Yet many of us find setting goals and achieving them is a difficult task. We can use goal setting as a tool to push us to accomplish what we want to achieve. Before I start my personal experience about goal setting and how i achieved my goal we can discussed what goal setting is . Definition of Goal Setting is "the process of deciding what you want to accomplish and devising a plan to achieve the result you desire". so to achieve a goal we have to set a goal first. By following some easy steps, we can set our goal easily. These steps together called SMART goal setting. SMART stands for "Specific, Motivational, Action-oriented, Relevant to your situation, Time-bound" and is a useful acronym for making sure we are setting goals that are actually achievable. When I start learning what goal setting is, I remember that there were couple of times I used this techniques without even knowing them and I succeed. One of them was losing fifty pounds. I struggle with my weight since I was a teen but one day I decided that within 8 months I will lose fifty lbs. everybody thought that’s really impossible but I was able to do that by doing the math that how many lbs. i have to lose per month and what will i have to do to lose it wrote down my weights and the weigh i want to have and by doing the math of ,how many lbs. I have to lose per month .if I do not lose that in first month , second month i will have to add more exercise to get the goal for that week. I also made my own diet plan, which i can maintain and stick to it. Even though I didn’t lose fifty lbs. within 8 months, it took me almost a year but i did it. I strongly believe that goal setting helped me achieve my goal. I gained a lot of weight back but deep inside I know once I did it, I can do it again. On another topic, I want to
