G.I. Joe Comp. 2 G.I. Joe`s are a powerful army men that can tackle any force. He is strong, smart, and dares to handle any challenge and not afraid to look evil in its eyes. This gave young children the thought of a supreme man. G.I. Joes are known for their physical build, tough look, courage, and fierce nature. Studies for many years have been saying how G.I. Joe affects boys early in their childhood on how to act/look. G.I. Joe will have a negative influence on what kind of an adult that young boy will be. G.I. Joe has an impact that men should be physically strong, have chiseled features, and six pack abs. In the article “Body Image” G.I. Joe was first built in 1964, with the average looking features typically compared the action figure as life size at five foot and ten inches tall with a thirty-two inch waist size, a forty-four inch chest, and fourteen inch biceps. Currently the G.I. Joes have more of a strengthen look to them. If compared to life size proportions, this man would have a fifty-five inch chest, a twenty-seven inch waist, and biceps of fifteen inches. The current G.I. Joe body appearance will tell children that, to be a man this is the ideal shape. Everything around young children affects them in a certain way, meaning anything one might see, hear, or even the action figure one might play with. In the toy isle for boys, one might look around and notice the violence and masculinity surrounding that section.
