My Grandfather never believed in distance relationship neither with his wife nor his children so he moved his family from place to place along with his work . My dad also followed my grandfather’s footstep ,working the same job and taking his family around with him. 1982 was the year that brought stable and settled life for my family eight years before I was born. This kind of unstable life was very common in my native country in the 50’s till the late 70’s . Coontz also stated in her essay that women’s were kept in the house without a job just to raise kids

He states in Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass that he “was born in Tuckahoe, near Hillsborough, and about twelve miles from Easton, in Talbot county [sic].” (Douglass 395) Douglass never had the chance of knowing who his actual father was. In his narrative, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, he states that the only knowledge he gained of who his father may have been was through others whispers on the plantation. Whenever Douglass was just at twelve months old, his mother was sent away from him. Unlike Jacobs, he never had any chance of knowing his mother. He only had the chance of seeing her a handful of times, which was only at night and his mother had to walk twelve miles both ways to see him, during his life before she passed away.

Ares was disliked by his own father, Zeus, right when he was born. “Zeus had not a part in Ares’s birth. Hera, with the help of a magical herb, managed to ‘get herself pregnant’” (Sharon1). She was just doing this to get even with Zeus for his giving birth by himself to Dionysus. Zeus was “not even particularly concerned when the young boy went missing a few years later and did not expend much effort looking for Ares” (Sharon2).
He went to church every Sunday and even though he heard the words the preacher was saying he did not learn a thing, which made his parents worry and they prayed for him often that he would soon find his way to the Lord. He was also, like many of us, he hated going to school. It wasn't until he got the hang of it that he started to enjoy going. He started to notice that math was starting to make sense and that geography was not just colors on a map but real places. His parents were starting to notice how smart he was and they thought that maybe he was to smart for the 6th grade so they moved him to 7th grade which turned out to be a bad idea because that is when he started to hate school and it was soon after that, that at the age of 14 he would drop out of school.
Some people believe in evolution and there is no god, others praise more than one god, and then there is Eden who was not sure if god was real but later encountered after life and brought him into a better way of life. You can call me crazy but I do believe in after life and how god sends us messages through our love ones. Just this past summer my boyfriend committed suicide. I was left with millions of questions of why and how he could do this to his friends and family. I have had a hard year trying to cope with the situation and trying to tell myself that he is with God and other angles up in heaven.

George does not care about Lennie’s situation and he trust in him as Lennie trust in George. In chapter four, the George says, “A guy needs somebody-to be near him” shows that people need other people to be strong and take better decisions. No matter who is that person and how smart is he or she. George does not care about who Lennie is and he considered Lennie his friend, showing that intelligence is not everything. All Lennie actions show his innocence.
Thomas Thompson 8/25/12 AP English IV G/T Schmidt “Salvation” Essay In Langston Hughes’s “Salvation,” he describes himself being “saved from sin… But not really saved.” He was young, and he wanted to please the adults he respected, so he pretended to be saved. In reality, though, the adults he looked up to were the ones responsible for his loss of faith, and unwillingness to be saved. Hughes’s Aunt Reed told him that, “when you were saved you saw a light… you could see and hear and feel Jesus in your soul,” but that was not what he experienced. He had heard others describe “being saved” like that as well, so he assumed Jesus was not coming. He had been fed information about what to perceive in an intensely personal situation, but he wasn’t feeling it.
