Mover of Men and Mountains Essay Tiffany Blalock LeTourneau University Would you ever think that a young man like R.G. LeTourneau, who was constantly challenging his parents and God, would be someone who created some of the most massive machines. It was his personality and actions of his childhood and adulthood and eventually his faith in God that shaped him into the man he became. The man that would build several plants across the USA, help build an institute, a hotel and conference center, and who started a foundation to help others. I think it was he who God chose to become someone who did great things when he put his mind to it. R.G. LeTourneau was a person who like us all would misbehave and do things that would upset his parents. He was a person some would say was inquisitive, energetic, determined, ambitious and determined. He went to church every Sunday and even though he heard the words the preacher was saying he did not learn a thing, which made his parents worry and they prayed for him often that he would soon find his way to the Lord. He was also, like many of us, he hated going to school. It wasn't until he got the hang of it that he started to enjoy going. He started to notice that math was starting to make sense and that geography was not just colors on a map but real places. His parents were starting to notice how smart he was and they thought that maybe he was to smart for the 6th grade so they moved him to 7th grade which turned out to be a bad idea because that is when he started to hate school and it was soon after that, that at the age of 14 he would drop out of school. It was then where he began doing odd jobs that would lead him to the places he soon would travel and to build massive machinery and plants all over the country and eventually would sell those machines globally.
