Women’s Health Advocates have voiced their concern of the dangers of this bill and that it will take us back to a time before Roe, when women lived in fear of their own bodies and the devastating life consequences by unintended pregnancies and unsafe back-alley abortions (Gielow, 2013). While women’s rights are increasingly improving with the presence of more women in executive and high power jobs; there are still many states that are continuously attacking women’s rights.

Abortion in America Rodney brown Wilmington University Abortion Abortion might be called the daughter of the civil rights movement. It quickly became one of the most important movements to date the 21st century. In this essay I intend to discuss how politics and religion is becoming a roadblock for insuring women’s abortion rights, I will contrast the arguments of Pro-life v. Pro-choice supporters and give facts and details to why this is such a hot topic in current affairs. Also I will discuss why no man should have the power to decide the freedom of choice for a woman. At the center of the pro-choice / pro-life debate is the prioritization of values, and religious freedom.

In the case of Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court opined that it is the constitutional right of women to abort their unborn children as they see fit (Mikula and Mabunda). Abortion advocates unite regarding the status of a fetus as a non-living being with lifeless properties. They believe that this description remains true until the actual birth of the baby. In the online article “Misperceptions About Unplanned Pregnancy,” the difficulty of obtaining birth control is addressed.

I believe if a woman feels that she is not able to raise a child the way he/she deserves to be raised, if she cannot financially support the child, if having the child will effect her health or the child's health, these to me are all justified reasons for not wanting to bring a child into this harsh world. I do believe that there should be a certain time limit in which an abortion can take place, because as it gets closer to birth you are dealing with a fully developed human being, but in the earlier stages of pregnancy it should be a womans choice. Abortion is a personal decision not a legal
