After each quote, write a paragraph analyzing a) what the quote means in the context of the pages you read (110-141) and b) what the quote means in the context of the whole book so far. “If my premonition played out and I was dead by age thirty, my time was running out.” (p. 114) The author in this particular quote is talking about how he feels like he needs to get the CFK organization up and going because for some reason he feels like he won’t make it past the age of thirty. I think he feels like the organization is his way of doing something for the world because he, at the
By putting different values for r3, we can get a number of lost revenues by simulation method. 4. Putting it together We will put all the random variables and calculated values together and then we have to find the cumulative number of weeks from the values for weeks which we have found in intervals between breakdowns. Now, we have to take that much values of r2 till the cumulative number of weeks reached at 52 or near about 52 such that if we will take one more value for r2 then cumulative number exceeds to 52. We are taking 52 weeks as an upper limit here because we have to find the lost revenue over the period of 1 year and 1 year contains 52
July 24, 2012 Summary of “Freewriting” In Peter Elbow’s essay “Freewriting” he explains how “freewriting” can be helpful “to improve your writing.” The author states the importance of doing it “at least three times a week.” Elbow suggests “to write for ten minutes” on a piece of paper “whatever is in your mind.” He describes a way in which you just begin to write your thoughts however they come to you even if it’s a thought like I don’t know what to say, as long as you’re continuously writing these thoughts down on paper. Elbow notes that when we write we tend to edit our words before they are even on the paper, thinking of “spelling and grammar” or the “awkwardness or wordiness” of our writings. The author explains that

The books tone also includes romance, which Kluger included through T.C. and Alejandra and their love hate relationship. I think intriguing would be the best word to define this book because the author made the reader wanting more, to see what happens next every time the students had one of their situations. One major example of this would be when T.C. discovers he is in love with Alejandra and writes her a note telling her he was interested in starting a relationship.

e In what ways does Elizabeths’s visit to Pemberly continue the process of her re-evaluation of Darcy? At the end of the previous chapter, Elizabeth’s view of Darcy had been fundamentally altered to such a degree as her re-evaluating herself, ‘till this moment I did not know myself. In the previous chapter Elizabeth made a ‘sketch’ of him from the ball in Meryton, viewing him as an arrogant, conceited and proud man, however she now has started to see him in a new light in which allowed her to be open to the possibility of loving Mr Darcy following future events. This chapter in which Elizabeth alters her view of him, Mr Wickham and herself, we can look at as a precursor to the love that will gradually begin to show in the course of the book. At the beginning of Chapter I Elizabeth goes to Pemberly with her aunt and uncle under the credence that Mr Darcy would not be home, this is because she visits at a time when her feelings towards Darcy are in turmoil from just learning of his true character.
Fundamental Reading Ralph Washington EDU 371 Phonics Based Reading & Decoding Jennifer Hanson October 8, 2012 This week’s lesson started with me reviewing some of the sounds from last week. In order to read, we must first know and understand the sounds of the letters. After our review we began with lesson 3 and began to work with our grapheme sounds. These are sounds that are represented by a letter or group of letters that make up one sound such as “ch”, “sh”, and “th”. By using these shortcuts we were able to slide the sounds together to make words and begin our reading process.
