Unit 29 1.1 – Explain the importance of using sustainable resources. 1.2 – Explain the potential impact of resources use on the environment. Sustainability, in the resources we use at work, is important because all the choices we make and all the actions that we make on a day to day basis will affect everything in the future such as cost now and in the future and the success of future business. We have a taxi system which is used at certain times of the year when employees would struggle to use public transport but these are done in conjunction with agreed rotas ensuring minimal use reducing cost, time and impact to the environment and business, so rotas are compiled with as fairer approach as possible to all staff and then this will go to higher management for approval and then ordering of the taxis however if over seasonal times when on call requires emergency cover we look at all options before booking a taxi such as location of clients staff available who may drive and the on call manager transporting staff where…show more content…
Corrective action is where experience comes in and the better, and more experienced, we are at planning the smaller the gap between planning and actual costs are at the end of the cost period. Planning is and important function and the more time we spend planning the better we become at getting closer to the actual cost but to learn to do this is where corrective action comes in by analysing the gaps and learning from the data to get ever better at the planning stage to close the actual cost down or closer to the planned
