To treat them with honesty, dignity, and respect is my core focus. My vision for myself as a nurse is that I will create a map in my mind and set high standardized goals which will lead me toward the advancement of my career. I will continue to educate myself with the latest technology and research which will help me in my professional career. I want to succeed in my leadership role which will make a difference in nursing as I can give rise to other successful nurses. I will use all my strength and skills to complete all the challenges I face to provide the best outcome for my patient and the organization.
I am highly organized, excellent in communication and customer service skills. I work productively, independently and with little or no supervision. I welcome the opportunity after becoming an License Nurse to help develop and demonstrate professional skills on communication in a patient care environment, while establiblishing characteristics that will balance my knowledge with practical expertise. In my life I want to change to a better stable financial stated, more challenging career, a better future, and continue to help others in a more advanced stage of advancement in my life. I have always wanted to be in the nursing field because of the stability and I have a care nature for every just about every living thing.
We all know that nursing is a field that is concerned with helping people, yet I believe that in becoming a nurse, a person needs more than that desire to succeed. It is essential for a nurse to be open, strong, determined, thoughtful and caring. These qualities would reflect on the nurse and would make caring for the patient easier. I believe that I belong to this field because ever since a child I always wanted to make a positive influence in peoples lives. I always felt the need to care for someone since I know that I have the power and the choice to do so.
I will continue to insure that I exhibit character becoming of family and myself by bringing pride to the NHS program as an academic and community representative. Throughout my participation in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program at John Jay High School and community volunteer programs, I have been taught leadership skills that I can apply to the NHS program, as well as, to my everyday life. I believe leaders are the first to help or lead when it comes to completing goals and tasks. Leaders set examples for people to follow, look up to and should be the goal of every young person to achieve. I believe through time management skills that I have learned and obtained while participating in mentoring programs and volunteer services, I can maintain and sustain my GPA at the highest standard that I have set for myself in order to achieve multiple scholarships to top rank universities such as, St. Mary University and Incarnate Word University that I have selected to attend.
My desire to do this course is because; I have always shown a growing interest into Health & Social Care and Nursing, as it strikes me as a worthwhile and satisfying career to choose. I am a confident student willing to provide the university with good communication skills, supporting others, and being able to interact closely with them. I feel that health & social care would be rewarding and create different pathways for my future. My career plans are centred in the future of the NHS and in the Care Home or Nursing Home. I would like to go into a working friendly others with their needs and seeing them to better health.
So I used that as a stepping stone to begin my decision to go into the medical field. That job was a wonderful opportunity to give caring and love to the residents into action. To be able see their reaction to the care that they were receiving was well worth all the hard work. I then decided it was time to stop working and to get a degree in the medical field so I put in my two weeks’ notice and finally enrolled into college to begin my education toward medical assisting. With this new knowledge, I can better assist the patients with their needs.
I genuinely love helping people so i decided to research it to get a better incite on what i wanna do with my life. I’m going explain the nature of the work,entry requirements,rewards and benefits as well as future outlook of this career. Community health is not just based on a certain age group or certain situations, so I feel as if my community health clinical rotation will allow me to pull all of my clinical experiences into one and apply all of those skills. This clinical rotation will definitely put my knowledge to test and I am 100% ready to test everything I have been taught. After reading about this organization, I could not be more excited to do my community health clinical rotation there. I even noticed that they offer volunteer and career opportunities, so working at a Comtrea location could always be a possibility for me. I have always enjoyed the community health aspect of nursing because the fact that you are helping your own community is very rewarding.
The quality improvement will support the administrators and leaders to ensure that Ashford General Hospital is financially able to continue to expand on their collaboration efforts with nursing schools and universities as well as offer tuition assistance to nurses that commitment to working for the organization. Quality improvement is will address patient care and safety prior to problems occurring as well as providing a guide that would essentially assist the top leaders of the organization from a business and financial stand point. Taking care of others and showing compassion gives me courage and strength. I want to be loyal to my patients as well as my employer. I have always dreamed of following in my mother's footsteps and dedicating my life to caring for others. I plan to work in a doctors office in my local community so my duties would include things such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, taking patients vital signs, and collecting specimens like blood and urine.
