An understanding of both the visible and the hidden dimensions of diversity increases tolerance and understanding of the differences in each of us. Diversity brings distinctiveness to individuals and makes us interesting, but if we base our opinion on the visual and not the hidden also, then we are being judgmental of others. The visual characteristics only encompasses part of our who we are, which unfortunately forms the basis of many of our values. Understanding the hidden dimensions of diversity with the visual dimensions allows us to enrich ourselves by eliminating ignorance and gaining different perspectives on others diversity. By seeing many sides of other cultures, we are well informed, and can make rational assessments regarding others.

Fancy words, bright colors, and a great background story usually play a big part in getting the attention of a consumer. But to know that for a fact is where research development groups come in. Having a ready-made prototype is always a good way to research how peoples will react to the product. If a prototype isn’t available then a blackboard presentation would help. People need that visual.

Because of the increased amount of diversity within the classrooms today, it is of utmost importance that teachers recognize and accommodate the different aspects of diversity in their classrooms. The three most pressing diversity issues found in my school are the different cultural backgrounds, the different cognitive aptitudes and learning styles, and different levels of motivation within our students. Diverse cultural backgrounds encompass many differences. It includes race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status. The impact that diverse cultural backgrounds have on my school is that our school is from a predominantly low socio-economic status and racially incudes white, Afro American, Spanish, and Oriental cultures.
Politicians who seek to strengthen or weaken our gun control laws would also benefit, because, it will help give them the foundation needed to build a good understanding of the issue. This article will also give the casual reader a better understanding of this highly controversial subject within our society. The first step in ratifying an issue is better educating the populous so, when it comes time to vote, they can make an informed decision. I found it to be so true when Appiah stated that “Talk of authenticity now just amounts to telling other people what they ought to value in their own traditions”. The reason why I found this to be so true because I feel that access to info does influence the decisions people make. For an example, people from different backgrounds won’t be bullied by being told what they can or can’t do. Even though there is a variety of cultural backgrounds out there to signify diversity, Appiah believed that there existed a unity between all of us. In other words Appiah felt that even though we are so different that in some way, shape, or form there is some type of unity amongst us.
