These multiskilled personnel can perform administrative and clinical procedures. Physicians value this unique versatility more and more, as managed care compels them to contain costs and manage human resources efficiently. Not surprisingly, the demand for medical assistants is expanding rapidly. (aama.org).” There are four categories of the Medical Assistants; they are clerical administrative, clinical and specialist. They are specialized medical assistants, who have some extra duties that are in their expertise, here are some examples, optometric assistants who work optometrists in testing the patients eyes, letting them know how to use contacts lenses and providing the basic assistance during the eye exam, or a podiatric medical assistants who helps cast feet. Once a medical assistant become certified they pay would increase and could receive great benefits and with the certification, they are recognized by employers all over the United States. Another thing is that if you wanted to stay just a medical assistant, they are course that would help you stay update on the new things that are coming out and could qualify you for different positions in the medical
