If I was Waldorf I would chose to pursue the third and fourth option; growing a new business and geographic expansion. With option three eHarmony would need to build a network of eHarmony-branded sites with each of them focused on key life stages such as weddings, pregnancy-fertility, parenting, and elder care. I think this could give eHarmony a competitive advantage by them upgrading their resources to keep them valuable and valuable resources can help a company maintain a competitive advantage. With this option there is also a chance to gain customer loyalty; for example, if a couple meets on eHarmony then they will be more likely to use the other sites for their wedding, their first child, and parenting. The next option I would chose to go along with growing a new business is to expand to other countries other than the United States.

These two articles work together to show how balancing family, marriage, and work is very difficult whether it be unrealistic expectations of co-parenting or mismanaging anger. In Hope Edelman’s “The Myth of Co-Parenting: How It Was Supposed to Be. How it Was” she expresses vividly how she feels about her misinterpretation of married life. Before she was married to John, she had a “vague assumption” (Edelman 284) that co-parenting was an attainable goal. Her idea of co-parenting was “If I’m going to contribute half of the income, then he’ll contribute half of the housework and child care” (Edelman 284).

After her last child completed college, the expectancy theory applies because she believed that she had a service that would serve the needs of other individuals to begin their own business by creating a franchise opportunity. She believed that she possessed the ability, self-efficacy, to create the moving franchise opportunity. By creating this opportunity for others to reward for their work efforts and efficiencies, she empowers the job enrichment theory.
One could argue though, that receiving a five year employment borderlines financial benefits especially given the worsening financial position of Pharma. Adams and Barker also lacked diligence in investigating the proposal, decision, and transaction and never consulted outside experts. “Directors’ and officers’ decision-making procedures must be set up in a way that allows careful decisions to be made regarding the best interests of the corporation”. (The Legal Environment of Business, 2011) The argument could be made both ways about protection by the business judgment rule concerning rational belief. For Pharma to survive and become viable it was obvious that some decisions had to be made, but was the sale of the assets in the best interest of the corporation, or was it in the best interest of Adams and Barker?
This was intended to save both GM and Chrysler from bankruptcy which is did effectively, while also saving hundreds of thousands of jobs. What they don’t tell you is that the premature closing of many of their dealers actually led to the loss of more than 100,000 jobs as a direct result of this bailout. President Obama also claims on multiple occasions that the bailout has been fully repaid with interest but in all reality there is still some $25 Billon of the original $80 Billion that we will in all likelihood never get back. This has lead to a
By applying the strengths perspective, which uses human strength and resiliency as a guide for helping individuals overcome personal obstacles and challenges, conservatives would rationalize that older adults should plan for their retirement many years earlier, preparing a way to provide their own medical care. Health care should be an individual responsibility. In addition, some Conservatives surmise Medicare in its present form is a government entitlement and like all big government programs, it’s inefficient and disempowers individuals. The fiscally responsible thing to do, in their opinion, is go back to the privatization of Medicare in order to avoid large government
