In simple terms, communication is about transferring information from one to another. Without communication, a person will not be able to understand what another person says or vice versa. Even if this definition is simple, but as we go deeper, the in-depth definition becomes very complex. There many kinds of communication and more than one may be used at a time. Categories of communication: Verbal Communication: Meaning: Spoken communication, using words Non-verbal Communication Meaning: Body language, gestures, eye contact, hand signs and etc. Written communication Meaning: Anything form of written method such as, letter, email, internet etc. Visual Communication Meaning: Photo, pictures, and other form visual messages. 1.2. The Importance of effective communication: The main reason for communication process is to understand. As such being able to communicate effectively is the most important skill of life for a person. Best way to define effective communication will be to deliver relevant information, in the right form and manner that is easily understandable to the right person at the right time. To establish effective communication at all levels of people is one of the key success in communication. To better understand the importance of effective communication, let’s talk about an organization. An organization operates as several departments internally to better manage their operations.
