Since the beginning of school years, there was always the traditional way of going to school in a classroom setting. But in today’s world we have other options that can result in an advantage or disadvantage to learning. Online learning has become more popular in recent years. Regardless of the decision taken we have to look at what could benefit our learning better. Both settings provide options for traditional and nontraditional learners alike. Although some programs may be more suitable to classroom instruction, online learning can also provide a quality education. Evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of each can help me determined the best choice for my situation. Online classroom has been a choice many people take to deciding going back to school for and education. In an online classroom, a student has to manage its own time and it’s able to learn at its own pace. Students can decide where the classroom setting will take place because they can learn anywhere a computer or laptop is located and has access to internet. It truly makes it convenient to be able to learn at home without having to travel to a destination in classroom setting, and have the flexibility and freedom to complete assignments at our own time. I can travel out of town and still have that reliability that my learning and assignments can be access through the internet via computer or laptop. All of my work assignments, reading and discussions with instructors and peers can be access through my online classroom, which means less materials to carry and more portability. Online classroom settings are developed for today’s world savvy computer and internet users. In a traditional classroom, students meet with the instructor in person for regular class sessions.
