The similarities between the older and younger generations were as simple as being the same ethnicity and as complicated as having trouble with men. There are many differences between the two generations; however, the two most relevant were how they deal with situations. Also, how their past lives play a constant role in their confidence. The younger generations life was much more laid back and easier, for their parents did as much as they could for them. "In America I will have a daughter just like me.
Boaz the next day decides that he will take Ruth in and marry her. This story teaches us that culture doesn’t matter. Boaz was an Israelite and Ruth was a gentile but it didn’t stop Boaz from being so kind to Ruth. Friendship is something I consider valuable and special. Some people, even my friends today, don’t look at it like that.
In country life, however, there is a greater trust in the small community, and people are brought up with different standards and morals; as well as their naivety to common city thinking. The effect of the arrival of Henry is shown through many different aspects. Religion is the major focus that Henry tries to drive into the Flack household. He is able to get into the minds of Morton and Alice Flack by taking advantage of their unsophisticated nature. This novel uses the emotions of the narrator, the actions and events in the story and the way that they connect with and clearly stem from society at the time that the novel was written, to make the novel easy to relate to for a reader and allows them to take on board the lessons and themes of The Handmaid's Tale in a more personal and meaningful way. A fictional novel can be made to feel real to a reader by use of details. If a book uses a lot of small details and intricacies it creates a world around the novel that can feel convincing and suck the reader in. Often books that invent a world tend to play off the world that already exists around them and then alter things so that the reader has a way 'in' to the plot and a level to connect with it on and then can open their mind to what the author chooses to add. Some famous series that do this include Harry Potter by J.K.Rowling, Lord of the Rings by J.R.R.Tolkein and Naughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman.

These elements helps us as readers to be attracted to a story. Point of view, character and setting are the elements that at least get me interested in reading a story and wanting to know more about the development of the story. The story I chose was “A Worn Path” by Eudora Welty. This story interested me clearly because of the elements mentioned above.
In taking her readers on this journey, Roach sought to inform them about the strange and important lives of people postmortem, something which is rarely thought about or discussed. She accomplishes this through the use of syntax, a wide variety of facts, and well placed humor. One of the initial things the reader will notice is the way the text is presented, and Mary Roach definitely uses syntax to her advantage. Roach writes in first person, which is unusual for a non-fiction book. By doing this, she makes the book read like a narrative, providing the text with intimacy.
The switches from who is narrating the story makes the plot more intriguing and exciting for the readers. The author keeps the audience interested and never bored by switching the timelines and the setting, leaving them with no idea of what will happen next in the plot. The fact that half of the book is narrated by the author of it, gives an certain imitation of a non-fiction book. The writer is

One example is Priapus’ eagerness to meet his daughter’s boyfriend.
Michael Tighe Marianne Bird My Legacy I have thought about what stuck out at me from Randy’s Last Lecture.
