The growing economy makes the cost of living more expensive, the overpriced houses are closer together, so you have very little yard to keep up with. The larger city also has faster internet and cable television. There are many disadvantages to living in the big city neighborhood. The economy has inflated property values and taxes, adding the cost of living. The crime rate is very high, putting you and your family at greater risk of being the victim of a crime or violence.
I think instead of cutting back on hours, more should work to get mail to a place quickly and efficiently. Since our world is all about doing things fast, why have it take longer for mail to be delivered. The USPS need to work out a system in which more mail can be delivered quicker even if it involves branch closing and
I think that long test and other guidelines that are drawn out does interfere with the homeless want and need to seek help. If barriers were lower and the standards were lower more homeless people who seek help and want to get their alcohol problem under control. Not all the homeless want or need help but there r a lot of them that is a afraid of the outcomes that comes along with seeking help from housing agencies and government programs. If a person has a reason to do better they will at least try. The studies showed that if the barriers were lower more homeless would want to and will go to housing agencies for help instead of living on the streets.
Closing the Food Gap Intro City vs Suburban stores – Hartford, Conn City stores were unsanitary and food was not fresh, nor was it maintained well. Suburban stores were farther away, more difficult to reach through public transit, but they were better overall than the city stores. This “supermarket abandonment” is the gap of the poor paying more in the city. Downtown was filled with corporate buildings. African Americans and Puerto Ricans started to move into and take precedence over the North and South sides of Hartford.
While driving through my grandmother’s quiet town of Bloomfield, you might encounter a quiet yet thriving farmer’s market on the outskirts of town. Weekly, farmers bring their crops to be sold to local buyers. Here is the locavore movement, intrinsically linked not only to a close knit quiet town, but also to issues of nutrition, sustainability, and economics. Locally grown food is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint while enjoying tastier, healthier food at a lower cost. The nutritional value of food grown locally is far superior to that of alien products with many food miles to them (items shipped over oceans, countries, and borders).
If the students have more jobs then they have money. The whole purpose of going to college is to get a good job, so why not get the students prepared to having to work for what they want. Langston also needs to team up with more companies and fundraise to build onto and around the campus. The city of Langston could really use a grocery store; they could make a lot of money because college students could work there as well as do their grocery shopping. Langston could also use more living areas.
As a result, the increasing of gas prices bring inconvenience to people’s lives. In sum, the high gas prices mass people’s life since they need to consider the balance between gas cost and the value of convenience and time. In fact, on the one hand, people want to enjoy the convenience of cars and on the other hand, people do not want to pay the expensive gas
The United States needs to find a way to put more people to work at wages that will enable them to afford housing. If more people can afford their own housing, the government would be better equipped to help those who cannot. Introduction The word homeless often brings to mind several images: a dirty, drunk man walking down the street or sitting on a sidewalk begging for money, a poorly dressed woman pushing a grocery cart filled with all her possessions, a “city” of tents, a line of people waiting to get into a homeless shelter, or a bum sleeping on a park bench. Most of the time the word homeless brings to mind negative images and often homeless people are regarded as social outcasts. The fact is that there are many homeless people
More adults looking for work just makes the problem worse. Not saying that the illegals are necessarily “taking” the jobs from Americans, it is just making it hard for anyone to find a job because the U.S. is growing in population, therefore making jobs scarce. If more immigrants came, the population would grow to a higher extent, making it even harder for anyone to find work. More U.S. citizens would be unemployed, because the immigrants are taking up a great portion of the population. I think that we should grant the illegals that already live here citizenship, then close the borders.
Gentrification takes place in many areas and can affect many people through the affected community. Essentially this form of movement normally occurs in low income neighborhoods where people don’t have the means to develop and maintain their place of residency. As a result of this lack of development many promising young men and women many who grew up in the community see the possibilities that the cities could produce which they embrace full heartedly. Unfortunately as a result of this change many people may lose their jobs, homes, and complete way of living because there either too poor to take part in the change or they refuse to change creating a realm of by standards.
