The two most popular diets to lose weight are the Paleolithic diet, also known as the Caveman diet and, the Macrobiotic diet. Although both of these diets targets weight lost and, maintain good health. They are in complete contrast when it comes to the food choices, health befits and, structure. The Paleolithic diet is a low carbohydrate diet, which limits a person from eating foods that are high in carbohydrates. Some examples include bread, pasta, and rice. This diet targets weight loss by low consumption of carbs, and vigorous work out sessions. For example, lifting weights or jogging for extremely long distances. The caveman diet consists mostly of rich protein red meats like, pork, beef, and game meat, and also nuts which are high in proteins but, are low in fat. It also contains veggies but, not large amounts. In the Paleo diet, a person can only eat one meal a day which, should be consumed during dinner. However, that person can eat as much as they want for that one meal. In the mornings, the dieter can drink as much water as they want and, throughout the day they have the choice to snack on nuts and veggies. Baking is the recommended method for cooking meat in the Paleo diet and, streaming is suggested for the veggies. This diet has no cardiovascular benefits because it is high in fat but, some studies have shown that it can reduce blood pressure. People who what to build muscles and get stronger should definitely try the Paleolithic diet. The Macrobiotic diet is a low fat diet which limits the intake of fatty foods like, milk, meat, and bean groups. In contrast to the Paleolithic diet, the Macrobiotic diet targets weight loss by a person consuming low amount of fats and includes no form of exercise.
