In our society today, we are very busy living our lives and finding or continuing a career. In all our busy lives we often forget to the help the ones in need but some people do remember to be helpful and creates NGOs to help and The Canadian Red Cross is just one of them. Their mission is to improve the lives of people in need by multiplying the power of humanity in Canada and around the world. The Canadian red cross is a very successful NGO and helped millions of people throughout the years, including the Pakistani refugees in India, victims of the Guatemala earthquake that killed 22,000, the Southeast Asia refugees and victims of war in 1970.

The society’s fight for a better world for people will all types of dementia takes a wide range of forms. The charity through their network of local services, they touch the lives of over 30,000 people every week, providing practical services and support for people with dementia and their careers. Alzheimer’s society staff and volunteers provide both local information and over 2,000 services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to people who affected by dementia in their communities. The local services include day care and home care for people with dementia, as well as support and befriending services to help their partners and families to cope with the demands of caring. The society provides reliable and up to date information to help you with every aspect of living with dementia.
Oxfam is an international organisation meaning it spreads across the world. Oxfam is an international confederation of 15 organisations working in more than 90 countries worldwide to find lasting solutions to poverty and related injustice around the world. In all Oxfam’s actions, the ultimate goal is to enable people to exercise their rights and manage their own lives. Oxfam works directly with communities and seeks to influence the powerful to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them. Each organization works together internationally to achieve a greater impact through collective efforts.
The focus was mainly to offer opportunities to the women and youth. Additionally, there was also a need to bring along social and economic advantages through empowering the local community, by promoting entreneurship while conserving the environmental and cultural stability of the Siwa Oasis and its people. Neamatalla saw great potential in profits when planning to develop and implement many projects in Siwa. The plan was to pull from the old wisdom, traditional skills and creativity of the local community, and complement them with modern know-how. The plan also included developing Siwa into a model of sustainable development which could potentially serve as a source of inspiration for other communities around the world (Custom Book, 2011).

Volunteers have an enormous impact on the health and well-being of communities worldwide. Think of all the ways that volunteers make a difference in day-to-day life: Volunteers deliver critical services from serving as volunteer fire fighters or participating in search and rescue, to delivering meals to homebound seniors or homeless youth, to manning the phone lines at domestic violence and sexual assault centers. Volunteers help to keep our neighborhoods, streets, parks, rivers, green spaces, and water clean and safe for everyone.
Michael was involved in many charities, including the establishment of Michael Jackson Burn Center for Children, and an organization called, “Heal the World,” which he shortly after dedicated a song to. “Heal the World” was established to help provide medicine to children and fight world hunger, child exploitation, homelessness, and abuse. As he would always say in his lyrics he wanted to “improve the conditions for children throughout the world.” Apart from the donated money, Jackson contributed his massive talent to the charity society that was both unique, and exclusive. His involvement with charity work allowed his career and music to affect the souls of millions of people around the world. He was soon one of the most successful
The Agency has been the main provider of primary education to Palestine refugees for over 60 years, and currently operates nearly 700 schools for almost half a million refugee pupils. UNRWA also delivers basic health services to Palestine refugee communities through 137 health centres. The Agency’s network of primary healthcare facilities and mobile clinics provides the foundation of its health services, offering preventive care, general medicine and specialized services. The third of UNRWA’s main programmes is relief and social services. Through this programme, the Agency provides essential food and cash assistance to the poorest refugee families to enable them to meet their most basic needs.

Right to play in a non-government international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children and communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world. Right To Play builds local capacity by training community leaders as Coaches to deliver its programs in 20 countries affected by war, poverty, and disease in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America.
