They are the largest racial group in the precinct followed by black people and white people. Asian people are those who are not in a big group. The precinct economically is dominated by working class because most of people are renters. The rent of apartment complex is low (range from 500 to 1200 dollars). But there are few house owners who are usually the white people.
These ethnic groups can be considered minorities. Whereas the percentage of Native Americans has increased slightly, the number of Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander has halved. The two lowest lines in the table show an overall view of the population only dividing Native American in Hispanic or Latino and Not Hispanics or Latino. Whereas the percentage of Hispanics has been 38% in 1990, by 2010 the percentage has risen to 49%. It can be roughly said that half the population in Los Angeles County consist of
by J East of anywhere," writes a reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "often evokes the other side of the tracks. But, for a first-time visitor suddenly deposited on its eerily empty streets, East St. Louis might suggest another world." The city, which is 98 percent black, has no obstetric services, no regular trash collection, and few jobs. Nearly a third of its families live on less than $7,500 a year; 75 percent of its population lives on welfare of some form. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development describes it as "the most distressed small city in America."
The vast majority of men and all women were without the vote. Voting was seen as the right of a small number of well-to-do people. The upper class dominated politics. One out of every seven adult males had the right to vote. By 1860 there were only 1.4 million voters out of a population of 30million.
More than 40 years later, we still find 29 of the 100 poorest U.S. counties in Eastern Kentucky alone (US Census 2000). Materially, conditions here are better than they were 45 years ago, but in all this time, little has changed to give local people more opportunities to escape
There are more whites than blacks on death row. Each year more whites than blacks are executed. If there was a shocking racial disparity anywhere, it is not in the punishing but in the committing of murder: Blacks comprise only twelve percent of the population, yet fifty percent of all homicides are committed by blacks.” The U.S. Justice Department conducted a study in 2001 on the racial bias of capital punishment. Since 1964, Only fifteen trillion has been spent on poverty; that is only three hundred twelve million per year compared to the military’s $600 billion per year ("The War on Poverty: $15 Trillion and Nothing to Show for It"). In addition, China’s population exceeds the population of the United States by over a billion people; their unemployment and poverty rate are lower than the U.S. (Factbook: China). This shows that it is possible to have a tremendously large population and still have a better functioning system where military spending does not take away from possible solutions to economic stability. Even though China’s military is growing, it is not necessary to continue spending such large amounts of money on the military because the United States already spends six times more than China. The answer is not military spending, rather invest in new companies to employ the unemployed and decrease the amount of poverty in our nation to create a stable economic system in the United

Not only was President Reagan a strong leader but he always had a smile on his face and a good natured sense of humor. After his attempted assassination he showed tremendous courage and even joked to his wife Nancy “Honey, I forgot to duck,” and was immediately back at work. Even at the hardest times in life he was able to keep positive persona. Regan governed with focused self-confidence and he never considered his position to place him above those he led.
