Bottled water has negative and positive effects on the environment and human health. Moreover, the positive outweigh the negative with bottled water. Tap water is filtered from wastes, sometimes it can’t be 100% filtered, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)2. Most people think that tap water has the same taste as bottled water, which is incorrect in my opinion. Drinking water from the tap tastes different, and its not a very safe thing to do I believe.
She is being quite vague about her conclusion that water bottles are not the best source of water. She states “Certainly, nearly everything humans do has an environmental impact- biking to work, recycling newspapers, and drinking tap water included.” She makes the point that it’s easy to attract other kinds of bacteria other than just through tap water, but she is still being unclear about her views of the harshness of bottled water. There is essentially no evidence that proves her conclusion to be valid, except the
Myth: Drinking extra water leads to weight loss. Fact: Water is a great help to dieters due to the fact that it has no calories but it has no direct correlation to weight loss. Dehydration If you become dehydrated what should you do? • If you start to feel dizzy, go sit in the shade and drink some water. • If you’re in a prolonged activity such as a sporting event, drink a more sugary drink that contains electrolytes that will give you some energy and also rehydrate your body.
Sports drinks are no match for water because they do not hydrate you as well. In order to get your body’s satisfaction from sports drinks, you’d have to drink more just to be equally as replenished to a smaller amount of water. Sports drinks are not worthy opponents to water regarding hydration. Not only is water plentiful, but it is also simple. When dealing with sports drinks, you would have to choose wisely.
Dr. Fereydoon Batmanghelidj made it clear that chronic dehydration could cause certain problems for the body, including hypertension, asthma, allergies, and migraine headaches. With facts and information provided in relations towards water, it is primary that our source of drinking water is clean. A fact that should also be relevant is that we can survive with no food for about 2 months, but, we can survive only a few days without water! There are many benefits that sodium can provide, if, allowed to mixed with drinking water in your community. So what could possibly make one spend money on something they can retrieve from the comfort of their own home? Technically, both tap (municipal) water and bottled water are safe to drink in the United States. Advertisements and labels give a false since of “better” quality water with images and word choice. Phrases such as “artesian well water”, “spring water”, or “mineral water” do not necessarily mean the water is any more healthy or cleaner than the water from your own tap. It is important to look beyond the messages portrayed on the label and to understand the type of treatment and water source of your bottled product.
Likewise, the low price of water indicates that transportation must not be that expensive. Where some say that tap water is free, others believe that it is not due to factors that contribute like the cost of drainage, piping, electricity, treatment, etc. Although both sides of this issue have merit, I believe that water bottles should not be an issue. Personally, I prefer the water from a water bottle due to it's connivence and despite what experiments say, I can tell a difference between tap and bottled water. I myself do recycle and having water bottles actually encourages me to drink water to be healthy.
AUS PUBLIC SPEAKING FATIMA ABUBAKER Bottled water is significant and concerning environmental issue that not many seem to address, alternatives, such as reusable bottles is one of the many ways that can be used to improve our ecosystem. As humans, we naturally rather include convenience in our daily lives because value our time and don’t tend to prioritise minor issues. But if we were to take the time and look at the statistics provided to us we will be able to understand that incorporating reusable water bottles is both more effective and pragmatic, and cost efficient. Today’s manufacturers began to use biodegradable bottles in order to be an environmental friendly but they forget about the chemically sensible human body. Reusable water bottles are less harmful to the environment and the body due to the intelligent production that takes into consideration the aspects stated above.
Your choice for hydration depends on your primary goal: 1) Rehydration (keeping the body cool and maintaining fluid balance); or 2) Replenishment of energy (restocking of sugar and electrolyte stores). Before Exercise. Check your hydration status before exercise because there is a wide variability in fluid needs for each person. • • Drink 16 - 20 fluid ounces of water or sports beverage at least four hours before exercise. Daniel Miller Professor Powlette ENC 1101 31 October 2012 The Strong Addiction The illegal drug methamphetamine should not be used because of the negative mental, physical, and health consequences. Methamphetamine is highly addictive drug, which means it is hard to stop using once you start. This is compounded by the fact that meth is easier to get than other illegal street drugs and is sometimes cheaper. Methamphetamine is a crystal-like substance that sometimes comes in large rock-like chunks; it is usually white or slightly yellow, depending on the cooking process. This drug can be smoked, snorted, injected, or swallowed.
