Malcom talks about the University of Michigan and how it opened its new Computer Center in 1871 in Ann Arbor. Also how Michigan had one of the most advanced computer science programs in the world. Bill Joy took a tour through the computer center and fell in love with computing sciences. He found a job working on programming during the summer with a professor.
