My students will develop a community that respects each other in the classroom as well as out of the classroom. Once these goals have been met I feel that the rest of the year will be smooth sailing! (Gallagher, 1999-2012). In the field of education, good classroom management is essential ( Froyer & Iverson, 1999) . Encouraging and establishing student self-control through a process of promoting positive student achievement and behavior is what every classroom needs.
This in turn should create a caring, happy atmosphere in the school which can enable effective teaching and learning. The school has its own code of conduct which all members of the school are to support. The school code of conduct is as follows; This is our school we will: • look after everything in and around it • follow instructions first time • always do our best work and let others do the same • treat everyone as we would like them to treat us • move sensibly round school and always walk inside. The school looks out for positive behaviour done by pupils and emphasis is placed on the acknowledgement of this. There is to be a clear understanding by staff, pupils are parents of what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour.
The behaviour policy should be clear for all staff, pupils and parents to understand and be followed at all times. Anti-bullying policy The anti-bullying policy is something all pupils should follow; staff should encourage good behaviour and respect for others and prevent any form of bullying. Any child that feels they are being bullied should feel comfortable enough to talk to any member of staff and all parents should feel equally as comfortable in talking to a member of staff knowing that it will get dealt with in the right way following the policy put in place. Attendance For children and young people to get the best out of their education it is vital they attend school regularly; regular time off school will seriously affect their learning and routine. It is an offence to keep children off school without a good reason and may result in the parents being prosecuted.

Whether it be the Head teacher, class teachers or support staff we are all part of the same group, a team. We all share a common purpose and working together as a team effectively benefits the children's education and general wellbeing. For the team to function effectively it's paramount that we all understand the roles and responsibilities of all the parties within it. Understanding these will enable us to understand our own contributions to the team and how we all come together
3.4: Promote children and young people’s positive behaviour. 1.2 Evaluate how the policies and procedures of the setting support children and young people to: * Feel safe- A school should ensure that every child attending the school feels safe. Policies like Safeguarding children ensure that the right procedures are in place to protect children. All staff working within the school should be trained on the correct procedures for safeguarding children. Anti-bullying policies are in place in school to ensure the children know that bullying is not acceptable behaviour but a child should feel confident enough to report an incident if one occurs and should know who they can go to within the school to discuss any such situations.

Fenway High School Essay In my opinion what makes a good school are the students, teachers, and principal. The reason I say those three things is because reason one they all represent the school and they have to work hard to make a school good. I said students because to make a school good the students who attend the school have to have good behavior with good grades, because a school that has good grades get more and more students to apply for it. I said teachers because they are the main ones who give us students our knowledge and education. And with good teachers come good students with good grades.
Inclusion and the Common Core Introduction to Inclusion To fully participate in an inclusive education program in your school means to allow all students to attend general education classes that are accepting and supportive learning environments for all students regardless of any disabilities or exceptionalities. When a student is welcomed into a neighborhood school it means to be a part of the school community and may now contribute in as many aspects of regular school life as desired. Help Improve Own and Team Practice in Schools 3.1 – 3.4 I believe team work is important in any work place but especially in a school setting as primarily, it is for the benefit of the children. Working well in a team will ensure the entire school runs to its full potential, which will then make sure everyone achieves excellent results, which will fuel positivity and a willingness to strive to work harder and better, for the children. There is a lot of organising and work to be carried out to run an effective and efficient setting for children to learn, grow and play in. It is very easy to get caught up in one task at a time but in reality, the more organised we are with our planning and communication skills the more we are able to work together to identify tasks which need to be completed and offer a quick and easy solution. There are set tasks I do every day such as setting out the book boxes for the children to change their reading books for homework daily and putting out their name cards so they take responsibility for locating their name cards when they arrive in the morning and putting them on the name board.
