Even though they are human they both are very wise in decision making. Both of them are also protectors to their home town and are basically held responsible for things, in my opinion I believe everyone looks up to them in their stories. Their actions aren’t human like, for example Odysseus was the only one who was able to return home safely from his journey. And Batman in the end survived the huge explosion that Bane (the villain) had set up in the city of Gotham. In conclusion Odysseus and Batman are both epic heroes.
Take the best traits of man, assemble them together, and you’ll have Superman’s psychological profile. Since Bobby loves Superman its possible that he also holds these ideals and philosophies in high regard, and chooses to live his life with these principals. The same can be said for The Green Lantern. The Green Lantern Corps is an intergalactic police force that patrols the galaxy. They always work and act in a group, and are often seen with other members (unless of course you’re Hal Jordan).
You have heard of many super heroes growing up such as batman, superman, etc. When you look at those types of heroes, you think of males with super powers with the ability to get rid of the bad guys. All of these heroes have different attitudes and different aspects of the real meaning of a hero. Aspects such as selflessness, inspiring, and distinguished. Heroes can be selfless in many ways.
Batman is always a detective first. He showed excellent deductive and inductive reasoning in his earlier stories. He, unlike say Phantom, didn’t rely on punching people in a bar to get the names of victims. Neither does he possess any extra-human skills like super-hearing, super-speed or super-anything for that matter. Whereas Superman is just a pea-brained boy-scout with huge muscles, Batman must rely on his brains and athletic skills alone.
They are both doing something that no human would ever do, like taking a challenge for your king or being a superhero and fighting dangerous villains everyday. Even though these characters aren’t real, we can learn something from them. You don’t have to perfect to be a hero. The best heroes are the ones that most people wouldn’t expect to be. Gawain was the weakest knight who took up a challenge that no one else would, which makes him brave and courageous.
Metropolis Versus Gotham At first glance, the iconic, fictional characters known as Batman and Superman, appear quite different. However they do share some similarities once examined closely. They are two of the oldest and most influential comic book characters. Both heroes share a common urge to protect the people of their cities, however their powers and weaknesses are what makes them different from each other. A fundamental similarity between these superheroes is the loss of their parents at a very young age.
Iron Man also has the distinct advantage of a super computer in his suit that helps calculate the best areas of attack and his opponent’s weaknesses. Despite these contrasts, these two men have a lot in common making them more closely matched. Batman and Ironman’s real names are Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark. These men are both billionaire playboy bachelors. Bruce is the leader of Wayne Enterprises.
Extra Credit: Batman an Epic Hero As you go on with life, you come across a vast amount of people who will ask the question “Who do you think is one of the best hero of all time?” With this, majority would give numerous responses to who they merely believe is the best out of the best hero. However, for me, Batman is a true hero because he fights vigorously to protect those that are in desperate help and danger. Batman has had an unbelievably strong taste for justice ever since his parents were murdered senselessly by a homeless man when he was just a young boy. During his entire life, he has trained himself both physically and mentally to make sure he would be able to protect others just like he had wished he could have done for his parents.
Batman as a Cultural Icon The superhero has permeated American culture for more than a century. Graphic novels depicting heroes like Superman, Green Lantern, and The Flash grab the imagination, tapping into both the reader’s deep seated longing for the ideal and his fantasies of titanic power. The exception to the god-in-tights trope that otherwise defines the genre is The Batman. Unlike his iconic foil, Superman, Batman fights to the best of his ability without powers. Ironically, it’s this that makes him more powerful as a character.
The characters in Ray Bradbury novels are the roots of his genius. Bradbury uses his characters to experience the battles of evil and overcome them with the power of good. Young, immature, and adventurous are a few descriptions of Bradbury's young characters. Bradbury is famous for his expertise in in the realm of adolescence. Communication, most of the world would agree, is crucial in every relationship, and Will and Jim communicate like their lives depend on it,
