I believe that there is an implied contract here between McDougal and Krunch. “This type of contract differs from an express contract in that the conduct of the parties, rather than their words, creates and defines at least some of the terms of the contract (Miller & Jentz, 2008, pg. 156).” McDougal’s gesture to Krunch was the conduct that initiates this agreement. The fact that McDougal comes into the store every day and purchases candy every day makes him a regular customer. McDougal’s gesture to Krunch indicates that he was leaving the store with this item and Krunch did not stop him.
Many people will not even consider shopping at a store if they do not have an effective website. This could be a beneficial tool for posting the weekly ad and coupons on the website so that customers can print them out and bring them into the store. Conclusion With a good branding strategy and solid advertising campaign, Kathy will draw more customers into her store and create awareness that her store is in the area and have good prices thus driving more sales. These much needed products include household cleaners, health and beauty items, paper products and food items. As the current market structure of the dollar general store is important we look at the effect of government regulations. As seen in the last couple of years, DG has started offering advanced in-store services to their employees which in turn is passed to the consumers. However, more services can be added to attract consumers the best thing any business person can do is to get familiar with the country that you’re targeting.
5/2/13 BSA/310 Frequent Shopper Program Kudler Fine Foods created a frequent shopper program which gives customers incentives to continue shopping there. Their rewards are determined by how much is spent on groceries and how frequent purchases are made. “Frequent Shopper Program proves the ability to gather data for marketing programs and run promotions for the loyal customers.” (Frequent Shopper). Web based advertising would allow for major cost reduction and provide helpful and effective consumer awareness about said products. In order for Kudler Fine Foods to develop a functioning frequent shopper program, it must track and monitor consumers shopping behavior.
During the past few months I have visited K-Mart many times to make purchases as the location is very close to my employer. I find the store to be clean and neat; however the store is very large and sometimes can be confusing in where to find things. Products seem to be spread out and rather than keeping seasonal products up front where the customer can get to them easily the customer has to walk all the way to the back of the store to get to them. I am sure that the reason for this is to make the customers walk past the jewelry counter, electronics, toys and cosmetics in hopes they will purchase additional items. Many of the sales associates are friendly, however they seem to be hard to find.
This can be assumed because college students usually know what they like and dislike, and what falls into those two categories. So, when shopping on a budget, they are more likely to be highly involved in whether or not the object is relevant. Also, the targeted adult shopping at this store is likely to be highly involved because they are busy, list-making individuals, who also have positive and negative beliefs about certain objects in grocery stores
I did not want shorts too short but shorts that were comfortable and cute. The price I was looking to pay was $10 or less and most of the shorts in the bigger department stores are $15 and up. The price is a huge deciding factor because she needs several pairs and my funds were relatively low. The places, such as Target, Old Navy, and Wal-Mart had the look that she likes, but the prices were not very good. I found a consignment shop where pre-teens and teens can take gently used clothes to re-sell them and get money back.
Most of these people receive benefits by claiming they are in between housing right now, or give the Department of Human Service paychecks for weeks where they might have only worked a few hours. I have noticed that the students with a Bridge Card feel they earned bragging rights and are proud instead of embarrassed. If you have been to the checkout lately at the grocery store, majority of college age students have the cart packed with all sorts of unhealthy goodies. Swiping like a debit card makes it easy to let others not authorized to use their food benefit card. This leads to exchanging benefits for cash or other items in return for the use of the card.
The clock that she had bought with her own money had been destroyed along with other various school supplies. She was grading papers when we got there and didn’t notice us at first. We told her that we had tried to sell cookie dough to Mr. Walters and Mr. Voltz but they wouldn’t buy any. She felt sympathy for us and agreed to be our first customer. In conclusion, to try to raise money for senior prom, Riley and I tried to sell cookie dough to Mr. Walters, Mr. Voltz, and Mrs. Kodrich.
This emphasizes that where they live, will have an effect on their chances of becoming something in life. The next major setting in The Lesson is the F.A.O Schwarz toy store. This a toy store where rich and classy people shop and somewhere where the kids in the story would never imagine going. Miss Moore wants the children to browse the store through the window at first to show them the prices of some of the items that the store sells. It is likely that Miss Moore chose to visit a toy store to emphasize the amount of money that some Americans spend on items that are purely for leisure, and so that the items within the store would catch the children’s attention.
