“Have your views on art changed? Why or why not?”


Art is seen through many different ways; and as I explained that in my art forum, even if you don’t quite understand it, it’s still there. Art is seen though professionals eyes as well as by your average Joes’. In this essay I will begin to explain how my view on art is and how it has always been because my view of the matter is still the same.
Art is defined as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power (GoogleDefinition).   Now that the definition is printed in front of you, how do you see it? Most people when asked, would say that art is something that is drawn out, painted, and or sculpted by a person that originally started by the artists imagination. Which is correct if just looked at it through a single layer of what are truly is. Art defines the life that surrounds us everyday, by our houses we live, the cars we drive, the streets we drive, and the building we see and go in and out of everyday. All these things have had a designer or an “artist” at one point draw up a design for what the product or structure is going to be and then it is put into action and the “sculptors” come in and make it happen, and then the “painters” come in and decorated and furnish the inside or brighten up the outside. Really, everything in life is some type of art and can be seen as spectacular to some more than others, but it is all just the way it is perceived.


I believe that my views on art haven’t change from the beginning of the course to the end of the course, because I believe that everyone has their own way of seeing things, art being one of them, and every persons opinions and tastes vary.
