Art and Culture Art to me means being able to express yourself and also being creative in many different ways. For example the transformation of an abandoned area into a beautiful community or public garden, buildings with beautiful paintings on them and even the shape or style of the buildings also reflects on the work of art. Arts can also be used to bring communities or neighborhoods together in a form of paintings, music, dance and poetry. Art is everything. It's impossible to look anywhere in this world and not see any aspect of art. It allows everybody to express themselves in any way necessary. Art doesn't discriminate or stereotype or hate, it provides an outlet for all emotions under the sun. Without art, the world would be without color, design, literature, music, poetry, dance, everything. We do need arts to make sense of our lives, to know who we are. It increases our compassion for others by providing creative ways to for us to understand and deal with differences. Culture can be described as the way people or a group of people live. Others also define it as the expression of humanity. It does portray knowledge, talents, industries, civilization and values. Today’s economy is basically focused on attracting and retaining creative human talents. This enhances the growth of the economy. Arts and culture represents a vital component of our social well-being. It really brings about personal enjoyment, intellectual stimulation, and opportunities for public enjoyment. Arts and culture basically cuts both ways. They can reflect on society’s customs and ideologies. American culture is very symbolic and has different ways of expressions due to its geographical scale and diversity. In conclusion, art and culture are very much related in various aspects.
