Vulnerability of a Mental Illness Sara Walker The necessity of critical thinking contributing to a vulnerable facet of society is crucial to successful living. History has shown the most sick have not been treated fairly, human nature proves it is easy to mistreat the weak. The evolution of critical thinking has propelled society forward in search of cures and effective treatments for the most vulnerable among society. Although it is clearly a work in progress, critical thinking has led to evolved knowledge of mental illnesses. Questioning the existing treatments with an open mind to alternative resolutions has produced advances in how a mental illness is identified and in turn treated.
