Secondly, children increase social and cognitive development from positive influences that are communicated by teachers. Emphasis around Vygotsky’s theory will explain the basis of social interaction facilitating learning with the benefit of good communication (Eggen & Kauchak, 2010). Thirdly, teachers must develop high level of written and verbal communication skills. This will develop good relationships between the teacher, student and family leading to proper educational practices that will improve student’s overall outcomes will enhance their literacy skill. Finally, educators with effective communication skills prove an ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of students they are supporting (Kearns, 2012), and with appropriate delivery of good communication, student learning increases.

This essay will discuss my perception of the role of a teacher in the lifelong learning sector. It will cover a teacher’s roles, responsibilities and boundaries. It will also evaluate different methods of assessment and discuss approaches to embedding inclusive learning and teaching into learning activities. Background For background information, I am studying teaching in order that I can have an understanding of how my students are learning, and some experience of teaching, so that when I come to assess them for their NVQs I appreciate how they got to the point of submitting their workbooks to me.
They also can provide feedback for students on their strengths, allowing them to see for themselves where they need to make improvements. Teachers use rubrics to assess students, they make it much easier, more consistent, and objective. They also help teachers focus better on key concepts. By making a work model (rubric) for students to use students will be able to improve and increase knowledge students will acquire. Teacher can better justify student grades by using a rubric that clearly shows where the student rates according to the rubric.
As students we often hear phrases such as: “Education is the “number one” most important thing in your life.” We are often under great pressure from parents, teachers and even also from the government. In recent years, the Danish government has completed new initiatives, which benefit the smart and hard-working student. With grade bonuses for taking several high-level classes and another grade bonus for starting on a higher education within the first two years after graduating high school, the government puts a pressure on the students to educate fast and do it well. This is also the point President Barack Obama wants to make in his “Back to School Event” on Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. In this speech, he tells the students to take responsibility for their education, no matter which social background they have, to give all they can to acquire the necessary skills that can help developing the United States in the future, but does Obama manage to address this message in a way that fits his audience?
Indeed, one of my greatest strengths is my ability to communicate. I convey my ideas and thoughts to students succinctly and enthusiastically, while appreciating the ideas of the pupils themselves, ensuring that they are listened to and understood. An enthusiastic and friendly disposition is essential to encourage interrelations between pupils and teachers. I am passionate about finding the most effective ways of stimulating and sustaining creative development, and it is important to me to optimize student engagement and success. I am currently studying my BA in English and Media studies, and work as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school.
The roles and responsibilities of a tutor in the Lifelong Sector include promoting positive behaviour, diversity and inclusion throughout the teaching and learning process (Gravells, 2012). The author concurs with Gravells et al (2012) that, a tutor should also challenge prejudice, discrimination and stereotyping as it occurs. This can be achieved by incorporating activities in learning based around equality and diversity so it helps students in their understanding. Francis and Gould (2013) state that the role of a tutor in the lifelong learning sector is not confined to imparting knowledge and skills, but covers a multiplicity or different tasks. These roles are accompanied by responsibilities and these contribute to the adoption of a professional approach to work in the lifelong learning sector.
How are these strategies implemented in my Teaching Practice School? 4. Are these strategies successful? In investigating the above I hope to discover the benefits plus the ‘what’s’ and the ‘how’s’ of well practised Positive Classroom Management (PCM). Through this study I hope to be able to adapt my learning of PCM into a practical understanding and use it as a tool to create a teaching environment conducive to focused and engaged learning.
In this research study the researcher was keen to identify, define, and compare the impact of two best instructional practices to a group of student with dual goals: learning-oriented goals and social and life skills performance-oriented goals. Though this research, the researcher has highlighted tasks and strategies that teachers can use to help students establish goals that have the greatest positive impact on learning. The methodology and the multiple activities in this study describe ways in which educators can set outcomes and help students set outcomes for learning, which are related to the dual component set out in this research: instructional outcomes and social and life skills enhancement. The focus of this research, as described in earlier sections of this report, has been on how to help a group of third graders enhanced their conceptual understanding of the multiple grade level skills on the topic of fractions. The focus was also on how to develop the social and life skills of cooperative partnership and collaborative interaction among this group of third grade students.
With this amount of accountability, administrators must ensure the academic success of their students through the effective use of supervisory practices. Many educational organizations use clinical supervision and peer coaching to help guide and encourage teachers are they grow to become proficient educators. By conducting continuous research on the supervisory practices, administrators will then have the opportunity to implement the most effective method. According to Glickman (2010), “Clinical supervision is consistent with formative evaluation; it provides nonjudgmental assistance aimed at improving the teacher’s instruction” (Glickman et al., 2010, p. 293). This supervision method welcomes “face-to-face contact with teachers with the intent of improving instruction and increasing professional growth” (Acheson, 1977, p. 304).
