Aims  What role does the clerk play in the recruitment process in the human resource department?  The procedures used when selecting applicants for a vacant position. Functions of the human resource department The human resource plays an important role in staffing, performing management, compensation, training and the management of staff so that there is a good fit between the organization and the worker. However the functions include the following:  Deploying employees to position where they will best perform effectively and efficiently.  Setting employees problem according to disciplinary policy and procedures. Methodology To gathered information for this research. The researcher issue out questionnaires which is used as a method of investigation. The questionnaire was given out to a sample of (15) fifteen persons on staff. These persons were chosen because of their length of service and their positions. The manager was also interviewed and questionnaires was issued to the organization on December 2, 2012 and was collected on December 7, 2012. The questionnaire was used as closed questions for persons to make the selection to the suggested answers.
