The Janitor I was staring at the clock, ten seconds left. The school bell rang as I get out of my seat I start walking towards the door when I hear My name, “ Meredith! Wait up!” My friend Jamie yells. I feel my paste allowing him to catch up to me. “ Hey, how was your test?” I asked him as we walk down a set of stairs and into the hallway that houses my locker.
I peeked out from behind Mom’s shorts and saw three ladies smiling down at me; Ms. Lucy, Ms. Brenda, and Ms. Linda. The first day of school had finally knocked on my door, and I was standing motionless on the other side, not quite ready to open it. I was terrified, because my supply of Mom’s hugs, kisses were running out. Her voice was already fading away. I was on my own now, facing the great unknowns of preschool.
College was a new start all over again. I had to become familiar with the campus by learning my way around to different locations like the library, student center, and my classes. I had a load of heavy books that felt like weights I had to drag along with me in a rolling backpack, that caused me to feel embarrassed my first few days of school. I would no longer have my best friends as my classmates so I had to meet new people to do group assignments and socialize with. Finally, I was officially living on my own without having to hear my aggravating mom constantly in my ear
I had to get up early in the morning and leave the house while it was still dark to catch a bus carrying my book bag, diaper bag and a car seat just to drop off my baby at day care and catch another bus to make it to my first class on time, and just managing this schedule was a challenge. I had no clue what it would take to care for a baby and I lacked the knowledge and the skills necessary to manage my time and stay in school. Even with a support system, my baby was my responsibility alone and I needed someone to help me cope with the demands on my life. Requiring that all pregnant teens take parenting classes will help them prepare for being a teen mom and give these girls the support they need to become successful adults. In parenting classes, pregnant teens will address their immediate needs and the issues that are essential to the baby’s health first.
Ashley Peterson and The mean girls By: Jarden Wilson The day began with a simple walk to class. Ashley walked into her homeroom class and sat in her usual spot, in the corner beside the window. There was a group of girls known as the mean girls in her homeroom who would always bother her. This morning they came up they came up to Ashley and asked her be their friend. Ashley was so confused that the only thing she could think of to say was yes, when she should have said no!
Taking my shower towel in with me to brush my teeth and my toothbrush down stairs with me to eat breakfast, I was oblivious to everything except for the special day that I envisioned at school. Once I was ready, my mom drove me to school and asked me several questions, told me what do after school, and yet I came out of the car unaware of what she had said. Walking onto campus and embracing my surroundings, I kept telling myself, "This is my time, now let's go make it happen." It was the first day of the rest of my life, that is, my grown up life. My stomach was anxiously groaning for food as I had realized I had neglected to eat breakfast that morning.

When I returned home a week later I found out that my supposed best friend was dating my supposed boyfriend. I felt so betrayed that I avoid her as much I could until one day I could not hold back. Let me tell you I went at her like a dog chasing a ball. We started to yell at each other and saying the rudest meanest things we could think of at the time, everyone that heard would have never thought we were such close friends before. After that day we did not speak for about a month and during the month of not talking we would spread rumors about one another to try and hurt the other person.
