The majority of SIDS deaths transpire when an infant is between one month and one year of age (NICHD 1). In most cases, a parent goes in to check on their supposedly sleeping infant to find them not breathing. As tragic as it sounds, having an infant die as a result of SIDS devastates many families throughout the United States each year.
