If a woman chooses not to seek medical attention for her unborn child, is that not the same as a mother not seeking medical attention for her baby’s aliment? In fact I believe it is and we as a society consider that negligence. So we must decide that a fetus is not a part of the mother’s body but a person, and that her right to freedom of choice must be weighed against the fetus’s right to be born in a healthy state. Against: Are we as a society ready to demand more of an expectant mother than anyone else? If we are sincerely committed to equality then the answer must be no.
Abortion Abortion is one of the biggest controversial issues in the U.S. ever since the roe vs. wade decision in 1973. This legalized that a woman could chose to abort her baby in the earlier months of pregnancy without restriction until the baby had reached a certain stage of growth. It passed because mothers were experiencing painful side effects or having bad health from being pregnant. Women were having abortions at first because they thought abortion was the only way out. Those women who are considering abortion because of personal issues should choose adoption instead.
Here we are in this so-called world of freedom but when we exercise that freedom, we become ridiculed for making a choice. I would rather end a pregnancy instead of bringing a child into a world that they are forced to struggle and go without ; to make a child suffer is a far worse act then dissolving the birth of an unborn/ undeveloped fetus. In Roe v. Wade, a landmark Supreme Court decision in 1973, stated that a woman and her doctor may freely decide to abort a pregnancy during the first trimester, state governments can restrict abortion access after the first trimester with laws intended to protect the woman's health, and abortion after fetal viability must be available if the woman's health or life are at risk. In this landmark case, the Court ruled that a pregnancy may be aborted during the first trimester, because the embryo is not yet viable. During the second trimester, the state may decide to protect the woman’s health by regulating the manner in which the abortion occurs. However, the Court ruled that during the third trimester, the developing child is capable of surviving on its own and, therefore; the state then has the power to deny the woman an abortion. After this ruling many pro-choice individuals argued that it was an inappropriate intrusion of the government into the people’s affairs; but as a result many young lives were saved. Abortion is unnecessary and the statistics prove it.
Pro-life supporters, on the other hand, believe that the unborn child has the right to life, and that abortion unlawfully takes away that right. If we take away the woman’s right to chose, will we begin limiting her other rights also? Or, if we keep abortion legal, are we devaluing human life? There is no easy answer to these questions. Both sides present strong, logical arguments.
If a woman has to travel to another country to have a legal abortion, she will do so, and she will have to pay more money. She will now not only have to pay for the abortion itself, but also the traveling cost. Not all people can afford these costs. So by keeping abortion legal and clinics open more women will have the chance to exercise their right and have their desired abortion. If a working woman or student suddenly has to leave the country to have an abortion, this means she will have to think of excuses and lies for an explanation.

Abortion (Pro-Choice vs. Pro-Life) The right for a woman to choose whether or not to abort a pregnancy is one of the controversial issues in the United States. Pro-life are the people who believe that it is the government’s rights and responsibility to care for all life regardless of all the concerns in the health of the pregnant woman or what kind of life would the child have. Pro-choice are those people who argue and believe that a woman should have the right to decide and make a choice on what she wishes to do when it comes to their own body, as long as it does not harm others with their decision. My standpoint about abortion is that I definitely feel that it is a woman’s right to decide if she is going to do abortion and as long as she has a valid reason to abort a child. The reason why it is important for a woman to make a choice is because a lack of choice could and may lead to medical and health problems for the mother and the child, and a poor environment for the child to grow with.
The Prolife view will fight for the government to preserve and protect every human life. With each view there is strong debate over the law and which one is right, and which is wrong. The debate is the hottest covering the topic of abortions, and dealings with women’s bodies. The Pro-life view stands in solidarity with the unborn child,
