Diane Connor 27/6/2013 IC 02 1.1 Identify the differences between bacteria , viruses ,fungi and parasites The bacteria is one single cell organism, which have evolved to thrive in almost any environment and they can be found in almost any of the substance/surface and also in any human body, there is only 1% of the bacteria is actually harmful, its bad or infectious bacteria that can cause illness as they rapidly reproduce and produce a toxin that kills or mutates cells, the bacteria is also a self-sufficient. The viruses is a very small capsule that contains DNA or RNA , viruses unlike bacteria are not self-sufficient and they need host in order to reproduce , I.C a human body , when a viruses enters the body ,it can enters some certain cell and takes over making the new host…show more content…
2.2 Explain the ways an infective agent might enter the body Infection is the invasion of the body by any of various agents – including bacteria ,fungi ,protozoans , viruses and worms and it is reaction to them or their toxins , infections are called rabbinical until they are perceptibly affect health ,when become infectious diseases . 2.3 Identify common sources of infection The common causes of infections are a staph infection is a condition where the body is attacked by bacteria called staph locus aurous, the symptom is always characterised by pass filled packets or abscesses in the infected area. Urinary tract infection is another infection of the urinary system, it is also a caused by a certain bacteria that enters the urinary tract, if this infection is not treated early this could lead to the bladder infection and even worse a kidney
