Conclusion From the beginning of 1965 when the role of the Advanced Nurse Practitioner was first implemented “nurses have been undertaking tasks and assuming responsibilities traditionally associated with medicine” (Dalton, 2012, p.48). Over the years things have changed where the Advanced Practice Nurse is much needed to continue with providing patients with a quality, safe, and continuum of care.
