The organizers of Woodstock had no idea how large this event was really going to be. The Vietnam War was still going on and they were still uncertain; they thought only 400,000-500,000 people would show (Walter 48). Organizers had no idea how large this festival was going to be until the final touches had been finished and all planned preparations had been made.
