A cultured man is someone who has a friendly approach, an understanding approach to life and its problems. It is someone who competently and behaves with courtesy and thoughtfulness according to cultural values, such as ethnic and moral values, in his society. A cultured man can also be called as an educated man. Although a cultured man is usually educated, an educated man is not always a cultured man, and that the cultured man is not only the knowledgeable man, but the man who uses his knowledge humanely. He is educated in the true sense of the word. A cultured man has skill to turn any occasion of friction and quarrel into one of co-operation and friendship. As a result of this friendly and sympathetic approach, he is at good terms with all. All are his friends, and none is his enemy. Family has an important role to make somebody become a cultured man. Since the very beginning, parents should teach their children about politeness, respect for women and elder people, admits the others privileges, and also teach how to be a sportsmanship. With those kinds of education, a man can grow up to be a cultured man. A cultured man is a perfect gentleman who is entirely unselfish and honest in his dealings. He does his best to extend his own opportunities to others, to make the path of others easy and smooth. He likes to help others by removing obstacles and obstructions from the way of others. Consequently, he is always happy and contented with himself. He tries to examine its own sake because it enables him to correct his own errors and those of others as well.
