While representing a brotherly and sisterly love taken to extreme, Tom Huck hints that those who tolerate the abnormality may end up with misfortune. Throughout the print, Huck surrounds the central scene of siblings getting married with several examples of abnormality. In this image the wedding is not held in a bright and clean environment, showing us that this wedding is not a normal wedding where everything seems like it is a new beginning. Moving towards the attire of the people, you can see that it is not formal. The clothes are just everyday clothing that you would wear: a tank top, a short skirt, and a pair of summer pumps. This shows that not much effort and money was put into this wedding. As we move to the top of the print, there is a banjo player in the background who is not wearing shoes or even a shirt. Having this guest at the wedding makes it even more abnormal than it already is. The banjo player also has a horrified expression on his face showing that he does not approve of this abnormal scene placed in front of him. This print does not just hint at this marriage being abnormal, but also demonstrates the consequence of this abnormality. Huck also shows how the many acts of abnormality result in the marriage's inevitable demise. While watching the priest marry these two people, one of the nuns in the background looks as if she wants to say something before it is too late, as if she knows the misfortune that could follow from tolerating this abnormality. In the bottom corner of this print is a flower with drooping petals hinting at misfortune. It signifies that this couple and whoever may tolerate this abnormality will soon have their happy joyful life come to an end just like how the life of the flower is about to end.
