In the Gospel of Mark, I see Jesus, the Son of God, as a loving, faithful, obedient servant who walks in compassion; doing the will of His Father. He is a servant. His message to us all is “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). Jesus witnessed to us on how to be great, by giving our life in service to God. Jesus taught us a new definition for greatness, the word servant.
The Character of Michael Hosea in Francine Rivers Redeeming Love Francine Rivers retells a story of God’s unfailing love as she writes a biblical love story. Michael Hosea the main male character in “Redeeming Love” is a representation of God’s real love for us. Michael Hosea seems to be a quite man and anything but soft. Michael is a Godly man, and he lives to serve his God. Throughout the story Michael’s will is tested, but he stands strong in what he believes and puts all his faith and trust in God.
How do we know this to be true?”. “ We have a religion that was given to us from our forefathers and has been handed down to our children. We worship in that way. It teaches us to be thankful for all the favors we receive; to love each other, and to be united. We never quarrel about religion.” “Brother, the Great Spirit has made us all, but He had made a great difference between his white and red children.
The counselor's role is to give the client tools to aid them in their growth with God and act as a tool for God to use. The only way for a client to change is to truly accept God and allow Him to lead them in His direction and in His time. As stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Introduction The counselor is to be a tool for God to use. The only way for a client to change is to truly accept God and allow Him to lead them in His direction and in His time.
Pity is found in the human face. Love is found in the divine human form. Peace can be found in the human appearance. So by process of association, when men pray to god in thankfulness, they are praying back to their human form. And no matter what, all men must love each other because inside each man resides god.
I want to show and tell others what He has done for me and what He can do for them. Scripture makes it clear that God is with us. (Haggai 2:4) says; “Be strong you people of the land declares the Lord and work for I am with you”. Whenever someone receives the Lord Jesus Christ by faith as his Creator and Savior he or indeed becomes “a new creation” (II Corinthians 5:17), and the miracle of regeneration is always recognized in Scripture as an instantaneous event accomplished by the Creator in the mind and heart of the believer at the time of
REL 3000 24 April 2007 The Sermon on the Mount teaches us through Jesus Christ what God wants us to do. Jesus taught through God’s word and through example. His miracles touched many lives of nonbelievers, and his word was echoed throughout the land. Through his gospel, we are able to love, worship, and practice a life full of certainty. He taught us to be kind and not to judge, to treat our neighbors respectfully.
Beginning in chapter 12 Paul discussed how Christians are to live. In Romans 12:1 Paul urges the Christians: “in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.” Paul continuously reminds the people to live above reproach and renew their minds so that they do not become part of the world. In the entire book of Romans Paul discusses the topic of how we as Christians should live, but Moo makes a great point in our book of how chapter 12 is a more in depth teaching on this matter. Moo states that "All theology is practical, and all practice, if it is truly Christian, is theological. Paul's gospel is deeply theological, but it is also eminently practical.
“For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it.” “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one.” {AH 25.3} Husbands are to be Christ like Revelation 19:7-9 7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Christ honored the marriage relation by making it also a symbol of the union between Him and His redeemed ones. He Himself is the Bridegroom; the bride is the church, of which, as His chosen one, He says, “Thou art all fair, My love; there is no spot in thee.” {AH 26.2} Ephesians 5:25-28 (NIV) 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies.
Because of the faithfulness and obedience he has shown, God delegated him with this incredible mission. In Genesis 12: 1 – 3, Abraham was told to leave his family, his country and to go to the place where God would show him and made of him nations. In chapter 15, Abraham has had an encouraging vision and was told,' do not be afraid'. Again in chapter 17, God told Abraham to walk before him faithfully since he would make his covenant with him. God promised that Abraham will be the father of great nations and an everlasting covenant will establish with his descendant and Kings will come from him.
