The social conflict theory applies to this movie the best out of these three theories. It states that in order for society to thrive, there needs to be constant interaction of conflict. This conflict in Mega Mind is obviously the conflict of good vs. evil. Once the good (Metro Man) is killed, there is no more until Mega Mind creates Titan. However, this gets out of control, as Mega Mind slowly turns into the good guy in the movie, rather than Metro man, and Titan is wreaking havoc.

Lord Henry set the spark to the fire and did whatever he had too to keep it burning. To the point were the fire had a mind of its own, so corrupted that there was no possible way to stop it. Lord Henry is at fault for Dorian's downfall especially through the examples he gave such as, how to live life, justifying the mistreatment of others, and lastly, Lord Henry kept filling Dorian’s head with these ideas to the point where it became his very own destruction. One of Lord Henry’s favorite phrases, “Carpe Diem,” is what influenced Dorian the most.
The hunger for success and power, the fatal flaw for most people, allows everyone to envy the ability fire has to consume without end. The firemen even express their admiration for “it’s perpetual motion; the thing man wanted to invent but never did” (Bradbury 115). The flames lick away at the most indestructible forces destroying what it can and comprising the integrity of what it cannot. The immense chemical power of fire translates to the symbolism of devastating power in Fahrenheit 451 as well. The total destruction of the power of independent thinking comes from the ideology of fire leaving the quality of life at an all time low in the world.
Ender also ponders his change when he purposely isolates his team member Bean, as a means to strengthen him later on. Ender himself is the dragon, as he is both wise and becoming increasingly more powerful with each promotion the adults bestow upon him. Ender also, similar to the dragon; symbolizes a major change; as he is the one destined to save mankind. Ender is also above the adults and humans who reason away their manipulative and violent actions behind a façade of morality. Ender only uses excessive force at times he deems completely necessary and is hesitant to engage in violence otherwise.

The judges made it seem obvious that the narrator’s life was coming to an end. The fear that the judges put into the narrator is used to help him realize the fate that awaited him. The judges are the most villainous from the chosen stories because of their evil conception of torturing and killing the narrator. The short-stories villains are arranged from least villainous to most villainous. Okeke would be the least villainous because his actions were not as extreme as the other two villains.

Upward angles showed Quarich as being in charge and downward angles portrayed Jake as being weaker than Quarich. This is because upward angle shots make a character look more intimidating. This is supported by Jake being in a wheelchair as it made him look vulnerable compared against Quarich’s giant mech suit. Despite all this Jake was willing to help Quarich kill all the Na’vi so that industry could make a profit. This links into the reason James Cameron made the film.
To be human means that we center our focus on understanding ourselves before other things. Our relationship with the planet is also essential because we keep doing things that we think will help us but that end up harming the earth and if we keep doing that, the environment will be destroyed and we will die from that because there will be nothing left for us to love off of. People are also discovering and creating new chemicals which are harming us. (Christian main lecture 4). There’s a lot more to big history than just substances, there is also our story and how we came to be and we call these modern scientific origin stories.
