I have read the book Holes and also watched the movie, I realize that the movie and the book have more similarities than differences. I would like to point out a few of the similarities and differences which I will be going into more details in the next few paragraphs. Some differences are the weight size of Stanley between the book and the movie and the value of the treasure they discover are different as well . Some of the similarities were the accusation that Stanley stole the shoes of Clyde Livingston and the location of the punishment camp was similar throughout the book and movie. In the next paragraph I will be listing more differences and similarities.
*These differences should be important. Paragraph 2 Sentence 1: Begin with a transition (The first major difference between the text and the movie is the relationship between Beowulf and Grendel’s mother. In the story, …”) Sentence 2: You would then discuss what happened in the story, use a transition word or phrase (“In contrast” etc), and talk about what happened in the movie. Sentence 3-5 (or 6): After you’ve listed the difference, you will then discuss why you think the movie made the change, and if you think it was more or less effective than the story and why. Paragraphs 3 and 4 Do the same thing you did in paragraph 2, except with different points.
What I found most challenging about this project is using ethos, pathos, and logos to critically analyze my selected advertisement. I overcame this by doing lots of research on what ethos, pathos, and logos are and reading example essays and papers using them. From composing this project I learned how to correctly compose a text analysis and how to use the rhetorical triangle and disruption to analyze it in-depth. For the revision of this paper for the final portfolio version I am going to go back and correct any grammatical mistakes I and my peer reviewer might have missed. I am also going to add more citations that I forgot to add and try to add information to get an extra page.
If the movie had more detail it would be more interesting. The book gave me a better picture. When I saw the movie it confused me because it didn’t have all the parts. If I just saw the movie I wouldn’t understand why Greasers and Socs were separated and why they hated each other. I think Cherry did a really good job; she fit the description really well I think.
Using novels to learn history, you say? Well, yes. Not that I depend on them exclusively, but the two abovementioned authors did do a lot of research and are valuable as introductions to the controversy surrounding what has come to be known as They Mystery of The Princes in the Tower. In my third year of university I took a course in English history and had the chance to write an essay about Richard III, which I subtitled Loyaulté me Lie (Loyalty Binds Me), Richard's personal motto. I used this as the basis of my thesis statement, that he was too restricted by family ties, and the oath of loyalty he took to his brother, Edward IV, father of the Princes, to kill them.
It seems normal that The Odyssey would have one but O Brother, Where Art Thou? Both Cyclopes each wanted one thing from each character. In the movie he wanted money, but in the book he wanted something a bit more valuable, his life. Within the movie and book there was a wooden object used as a weapon. Both stories the Cyclops fooled our main character into doing something.

They were so much alike because they both were very good from the start. Some things that happened in the book, although they didn’t happen in the movie. You could really tell in both the book and movie the friendship and love with some people. If you watched the movie and read the book you might think the same thing, you might not, but here are the reasons that I think the book is better even if the movie wasn’t that bad either.
Who are the main characters or the stakeholders (for those of you who have a non-fiction text) 3. Why did you choose this primary body of work? Ensure that you discuss the process you went through during your book search. I chose this book because after reading a lot of book summaries which I dint like until I saw Life of Pi, after reading the summary I was a little interested and then I researched more about the book and found it won a lot of awards and decided to chose this book 4. Provide four specific quotations from the text and explain how each relates to your chosen thematic statement.
RH, Campolindo High School Tom's book was a crucial part of my preparation for the SAT. It not only taught me how to write an essay but it also gave me the confidence to do so. I don't know how I could possibly face the SAT essay without this helpful information. In addition, my sister used this material and ended up getting a perfect score on her paper. Tom's book will relieve any fears you have about writing the SAT essay.
Some being more valid than others, initially I didn’t look into any specific one I just bookmarked all the ones that I had found while using google. Next I went on to a more old fashioned research technique and decided to take a field trip to the library. Using the online search the library provides us with I found several books having to do with both Guatemala and the United states during the time of the coup d’ etat. I started looking for the books in the library and came across many that were useless to me and many that had tons of facts that I knew would be amazing towards the research. Then as I usually do I stopped working on the project and procrastinated to the last moment possible.
