Linda Bove in a famous deaf actress who appears in many shows and movies. She shows us all how successful people who are deaf or have a disability can be; she’s a true inspiration. Linda was born on November 30, 1945 in Garfield, New Jersey, to two Deaf parents. She attended the New Jersey school for the Deaf.
Joan Chandos Baez ( /ˈbaɪ.ɛz/) (born January 9, 1941 as Joan Chandos Báez) is an American folk singer, songwriter, musician, and a prominent activist in the fields of human rights, peace, and environmental justice. Baez has a distinctive vocal style, with a strong vibrato. [1] Her recordings include many topical songs and material dealing with social issues. Baez began her career performing in coffeehouses in Boston and Cambridge, and rose to fame as an unbilled performer at the 1959 Newport Folk Festival. She began her recording career in 1960, and achieved immediate success.

Billie Holiday (born Eleanora Fagan) also known as Lady Day was an American jazz singer and phenomenon in the 1950’s who not only greatly influenced jazz and pop singing, but through her vocal style, she pioneered a new way of manipulating phrasing and tempo. Holiday had a very tumultuous childhood, which also manifested continuously in her adult years. Some believe because of it, Holiday was able to exploit her sorrowful and melancholy disposition and create expressive genius music and a one of a kind vocal technique. “As a young teenager, Holiday served the beginning part of her so-called ‘apprenticeship’ by singing along with records by Bessie Smith or Louis Armstrong in after-hours jazz clubs. When Holiday's mother, Sadie Fagan, moved to New York in search of a better job, Billie eventually went with her.
Johnson took many dance classes, which inspired her love of costumes. Johnson's fashion career started after she entered and won the Mademoiselle Guest Editor Contest. Within a year, she was the in-house designer for Manhattan boutique Paraphernalia. Johnson became part of both the ‘youthquake’ fashion movement and Andy Warhol's underground scene. In 1969, she opened a boutique called Betsey Bunky Nini on New York's Upper East Side.

It was the only English-language news weekly in the Middle East.
The song was written by two english singer/songwriters named Anthony Newly and Leslie Bricusse. Its original purpose was for the 1965 musical "The Roar of the Greaseplant - The Smell of the Crowd", and was originally sung by Cy Grant. I believe that Nina Simone's slightly contrasting version added a new light to the song and opened up many more doors for the growth of the song. Many different versions have been recorded since. Versions and other songs containing samples of Nina Simone's version The George Michael version contains samples, and is featured in Swedish hip hop group Fjärde Världen's song "Ingen Annan".

Actor Chris Colfer, whose character has already dealt with the death of his mother and might lose his ill father, sang a dramatically reworked version. Chris was a simple teenager in high school. The tempo was that of a ballad and the guitars were replaced with strings giving the song a symphonic feel. The second obvious difference between the two videos is the time frame in which the song is set.

When she was 19, Whitney Houston was discovered in a nightclub by the renowned Clive Davis of Arista Records, who signed her immediately and took the helm of her career as she navigated from gospel to pop stardom.
