From source A we can infer that the aim of the Beveridge report was to make sure that every man has been secured efficiently financially "enough money to meet the essential needs". Source A also suggests that the Beveridge report is split into “three parts” to ensure social security for each aspect of society “benefits...children...medical”. good 6/6 1) The message conveyed from the source is one that the children’s allowance proves to be very beneficial for the children. This knowledge on newspapers allows us to question the sources reliability. The purpose of the source is to raise the likeability and increase the want for the Beveridge report to be put in place. Although source b doesn’t explicitly tackle the reaction of the people to the report it explains its vast benefits implying the positive reactions of the people. Again, you need to quote directly from the soruce. Both sources convey the reaction to the report to a certain extent but the reliability of both sources remains questionable. However sources a, c, e and f neither agree nor disagree with the statement. Source d strongly conveys the good reaction to the Beveridge report. It shows this as, from own knowledge, I know the aim of the Beveridge report is to fight the fight giants, the source is a cartoon that illustrates this- it shows the 5 giants about to be blown up with a crowd of supporters you perceive to be the public. This explicitly identifies the good reactions to the report. However the reliability of this source is questionable as it’s a cartoon and the reasons as to why it was published are unknown. Source a, c, e, and f fail to agree or disagree with the statement. The sources just give information or talk briefly of the report and what is means but there is no mention of the reaction of the people or the government to the Beveridge report. The reliability of all three reports are also very debatable, as although from own knowledge we know what they say is true, each source is part of government speeches and may have been used as propaganda.
