In 2000 Adrian Rogers the president of the Southern Baptist Convention made theological and sociological revisions to the 1963 confession. Despite the similarities and the revisions between the two confessions there are major concerns on topics about the doctrine of God. Many pastor-theologians endeavor on what to improve to the confession which has and will continue to impact the Baptist’s history past, present, and future. The 1963 BF&M confessions being revised are the faith and message that was set forth positive teaching the American Baptist believes.

Harvin Liberty UniversityCOUN 506 PRAYER & SCRIPTURE IN THERAPY Page 2 Siang-Yang Tan discuses in his article “Use of Prayer and Scripture in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy” published in the Journal of Psychology and Christianity in 2007, ways prayer and scripture can be integrated in cognitive-behavioral therapy. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is also known by some as “CBT”. Tan believes that this model of cognitive-behavioral therapy along with different forms of prayer and biblical truth can be very beneficial in the long run to the client. He uses a study by Hayes, Luoma,Bond, Masuda and Lillis (2006) to help support his thesis. Hayes, Luoma,Bond, Masuda and Lillis (2006) study elucidated a historical development of behavior therapy.

(Serving On Social-Networks) Evangelism Vision Paper Submitted to William Brown In Partial Fulfillment Of the Requirements for the Course Contemporary Evangelism EVAN 565 By Jacqueline Jones 6 July 2012 Introduction According to Rom. 8:28, God makes all circumstances and situations good in the lives of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Social networks, though somewhat evil in the hands of the addicted, can serve a purpose that fits within God’s purpose if used under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Up to the point of taking this class, I have been vehemently opposed to Social Networks.

Christ Centered Cognitive Therapy Dennis Stoneman Liberty University Abstract This paper will address a more personal evaluation of psychotherapy theories, and techniques as they apply to what God is calling me to be as a counselor. As I have studied, I have gained a kinship to cognitive therapy, and have seen how Jesus himself was concerned not just by behavior, but by the need of a change in thinking. When Christ spoke of repentance, he spoke about changing the way a person is to think about a situation or sin. This will be the main focus of this paper. This paper will also discuss how I will address the clients I see in the future based on that cognitive model.
