Roommate discrepancies College; a world wind of experiences, form new professors to on campus living. Being moral is not always the first thing that’s comes to mind when thinking of a college student. Many people come from different environments having different morals and values. When the clashing of these morals and values take place feelings are often left on the line as well as the judgment of one’s character. My first semester of college at Oakland University; I was expecting to have the greatest roommate experience seeing that I had previously met my roommate and had a good feeling about the situation. But at a glance I had no idea that here morals were so much more different than mine. In the beginning my roommate and I in a sense were best friends. We attended parties together, we shared each other’s belongings, and both are parents met and we all went to dinner. Some of her outgoing tendencies annoyed me and were sometimes a little over barring but I was blinded by our “oh so wonderful friendship.” We both had some of the same views when it came to dating and having boy friends over but soon she took this to an extreme. A guy who lived on campus enjoyed her company so much that she wanted him to sleep with her every night even though she had an off campus boyfriend. Still slightly blinded by our friendship, I said little to nothing about the situation. After about a month of his over frequent visits I began to feel very uncomfortable, especially after one day walking in on them have sex. At that point I knew our morals were clearly NOT the same. I had a talk with them a few minutes later and expressed how I felt. They didn’t take me seriously and I was very upset. I talked to my parents about the situation and they began to question my character and why I would let something like this go on for so long. My roommate found out that I involved my parents
