There are several differences in the education and training a nurse receives depending which program is pursued. There are three pathways to obtain the proper training and education to be eligible to have the opportunity to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) exam to become a registered nurse. The NCLEX tests for minimal technical competence for safe entry into basic nursing practice. To study Nuclear Medicine you will need the following courses Math, English, Physics, and in Chemistry. In any of these courses can’t be below 70% and an overall average of 75%. As for certification, graduates must write national registration exams and meet the clinical competency requirements as set by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) in order to practice.
