The stage set up was Unique but it complimented the play well due to the walking around and the crowd Interaction. I definitely think all the parts of the plot were essential to tell the full story. But, just like any play, there were bits and pieces that could have been left out and it Wouldn’t have changed the performance. Such as the role of the engineer who sat up top On the banister the whole play. I did not think she had a significant role.
The stage scenery was very plain, consisting of chairs and tables. Throughout the performance, the screen showed a relevant picture for the audience to see that was related to what was taking place at the time. This was done to give the audience a feel or idea of where things were taking place. I did not like the way it done, because it was boring to me. I like to see props so that the characters can stay engaged in what is going on.
She is more Americanized that her family would like. She does not have much of an accent. Her skin is very dark and could be mistaken for Hispanic. She has a job cleaning rooms for the motel her family runs. Mena shows how well she has adjusted in one scene where she is dancing in a club with other people her age and she fits in quite well.
The farcical play, Boeing Boeing at the University of Arizona’s Marroney Theater delivered nonstop entertainment on September 22nd 2013. The play was written by Marc Camoletti and directed by Brent Gibbs, yet the success of the play was only possible through the collaborative effort of everyone involved. The major themes of Boeing Boeing were lust, honesty and chaos. Scenic designer, Taryn Wintersteen and the costume designer, Sandahl Masson effectively emphasized the themes of lust, loyalty and chaos by creating a compelling ambience on stage. The play took place exclusively in Bernard’s apartment living room.
The house on stilts was the best creation of the play as it helped to show the theme on class so the upper class aka the Birlings in the raised house, then working class aka Edna and the inspector on the ground and then at the bottom on society and at the stage the young children listening to the play as it progressed. The background was painted to image the night in a busy industrial city (Burley). There was a phone box in the corner of the stage which was used when Mr Birling gets a phone call to explain the death of Eva/Daisy, I do not think that it is significant to put it there as it could be a prop inside the house. I pointed this out as it was one of the first things I noticed as the curtain rose and until that point of the play when it came of use; it puzzled me why it was
Furthermore, Daphne Du Maurier stresses important details so the suspense is evident. The film had difficulty portraying the thematic element of hyperbole because in a movie one can only shine so much light upon one subject without blurting out the obvious. There are several reasons it is so imperative that one has good use of hyperbole in media. One reason it is brilliant to use hyperbole and raw repetition is that the viewer can be of
Jesus Trejo Mr. Carey Stage Tech A Per 5 29 November 2014 Live Performance Critique #1 The comedy show at Old Town Temecula Theater went very well in terms of stage designs and lighting but there was only one minor problem with the sound during the show. The stage was small but designed efficiently were all six comedians fit on the stage making it easier for the audience to watch without any problems. The theme of the stage design was Christmas with stockings around the stage and venue affecting the mood and production of show by developing a sense of Christmas and holiday jokes. On the other hand, the lighting for the comedy show was set up with a strand of lights above the stage and several lights on the celling of the venue. This
Jose Melgoza THE-3 D. Nelson Production: Go Back For Murder I attended a production called "Go Back For Murder" at the Riverside Community Players and it was a great experience. This was my first time ever attending a play, so i was kind of nervous not knowing what to expect. I kept on asking myself questions such as "Was this production going to have a feeling of a movie?" or "Was I going to be at the edge of my seat wanting to know what is going to happen next?". As I am entering the theater I noticed it was small building and was wondering how was a Modern Proscenium or Thrust stage going to fit inside this place.
A Theater for the Elderly Many senior citizens love watching movies but cannot find the right movie theatre that suits them. These days, movie theatres are directed at teenagers and families with younger children, with hardly any theatres focused on attracting the senior citizen population. Two theatres that are constantly in competition for business are Phoenix Theatres and AMC 20. Both theatres are overall very successful, but Phoenix Theatres offers a better theatre for the elderly customers than AMC 20 does. Phoenix Theatres offers the perfect atmosphere for senior citizens.
Emily looked at Jill and said, “You’re not going to drink are you?” Jill responded, “No, I am just going to carry around this cup so I can look cool.” Emily believed that Jill was telling the truth. The three girls went there separate way but made a plan to meet in the front of the house at exactly midnight. All three girls were mingling with their classmates and really enjoying the party. There was a lot of alcohol, people, and even a disc jockey (DJ) at the party. The
