Descriptive Vacation

The day I was waiting for finally arrived. I could not believe that I was driving to Florida. I could only imagine all the actives and attractions awaiting me there. My family and I drove day and night without stopping to get to our resort. Nearing Florida, just past Atlanta, strong winds and rains started all around us. When we were finally in Florida, that’s where the rains started really picking up. I saw huge palm trees being bent under the pressure of the wind. Many of the streets were flooded. Looking out of our resort window we could see shingles flying of the roofs and cars getting flipped over. Since it was our first time in Florida we didn’t know that we were in the middle of a hurricane! Later that day while watching the news we found out that there was a hurricane in Orlando, Florida. Fortunately, nobody got hurt and the next few weeks were filled with sunshine. Since we came in the summer it was scorching hot so the rain water dried up in really fast. The…show more content…
We also went to other beaches but these are some of the more popular ones. However, because of the hurricane many things washed up ashore like plants, animals and a lot of other debris. I collected many shells that year because the beaches were filled with them. There were piles and piles of sea shells. I also caught two starfish which I kept for myself. I also caught a huge, pink jellyfish that had washed up ashore. The hurricane also caused the waves to be bigger than usual which was more fun to swim in. Going to Florida has become an annual trip for me and my family. We go every year for Christmas and New Year’s. We spend a lot of family time together. Me and my family gain a lot of new experiences every time we visit and we visit many new attractions. I find these trips very fun.
