With the Pioneer the building is 168 feet tall. Large sculptures are on both sides of the entrances. Leo Friedlander used Vermont marble to create Lewis, Clark and Sacagawea on the right and Pioneers with a covered wagon and a map of the Oregon Trail on the left. To enter the building there is two sets of low, terraced steps which lead you to three huge spinning doors that are made of customized bronze. In case of an emergency an outer shell will cover these entry ways.
“The University of Texas Clock Tower” The main building known as the “Clock Tower” is at the center of the university’s campus located in Austin, Texas. The tower is a whopping 307-foot tall and has twenty-eight floors. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of the university as well as the city of Austin. The main buildings façade consists of seven great arches of the loggia as well as orange panels on the fourth story. The inscription “ Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” is carved across the front of the building.
With the distinct Victorian architecture in mind, architects designed extraordinary buildings such as the State Library, University of Melbourne and the Royal Exhibition Building. Many houses and buildings had wrought iron lacework to decorate the verandas. They also had even slated roof and several buildings had domes or spires to their rooftops. Any person walking through the street of Melbourne in the 1800s could see the amazing architecture the city had to offer. The clothing of Melbourne city was said to be the best and always in fashion.

The vault is built with cream-colored stone and bricks that are uniform throughout the entire building. The area that contains the vault is the tallest part of the entire structure. This allows the vault to be a lot taller than the rest of the ceilings in the structure. The vaulted area uses large arched doorways on both sides to allow for a lot of sunlight to enter the vault. This sunlight reaches up to the ceilings and lights up the cream brick at the peak of the vault.
The architect selected to build the new capitol was Frank Mills Andrews. Andrews was a very distinguished and award-winning architect using the Beaux- Arts Style and included many classical French interior designs in his design of Kentucky’s new capitol building. The new capitol building was to be built on the same site the previous two buildings, but concerns brought up by the legislature, and the size of the proposed building were too big for the old site so a new site was to be established.
